Description
This is a map of the city of Angul. This version takes place in the same year as this (1301 PKE/BCE): www.deviantart.com/fayfayl/art…The city was founded around 8200 PKE/BCE as an early proto-city called Magal on the banks of the Idim River. Over time, it would be conquered by the Idim Empire (7928-6785 PKE) after which it would collapse and come under the Kingdom of Kur (6749-5335 PKE) which proclaimed the city as its capital. The city would later fall to the Eastern Alittar Empire (5781-4879 PKE) in 5399 PKE and renamed Magul while Kur relocated its capital.
The decline of the Eastern Alittar Empire during the 52nd century PKE saw Magul being captured by the State of Nin (5335-4960 PKE) (successor of Kur) after which it became a city under the rule of Aradia-Nin (4960-4073 PKE). During this time, Magul was highly regarded as a centre of academia and commerce.
Following this, the Bronze Age Collapse at the tail end of the 5th millennium PKE saw the societal collapse of most of the known world. In the aftermath, the Kingdom of Kain (4066-3248 PKE) consolidated its control over much of the central region of Aradia-Nin (which included Magul). The kingdom would eventually be reorganised as the Suric Empire (3248-2353 PKE).
When the East Suric Empire (2353-2111 PKE) collapsed following the Suro-Coalition War, Magul was divided into two by the Kingdom of Neo-Aradia (2360-1244 PKE) and Lim (2312-1822 PKE) as the cities of Magul and Ansuk respectively. Ansuk would be annexed along with the rest of Lim by Jabarfaria (2048-1718 PKE) after which they would be succeeded by Qaedia (1718 PKE-present).
Qaedia later lost Ansuk following a war with Neo-Aradia in 1473 PKE after which Ansuk and Magul were reunited as the city of Angul.
