I had one game last year where it hailed and was so cold part of a trumpet broke off. haha

Blah. You know, this is the good thing about living in Texas. During marching band season, we don't get a lot of rain. I have yet to be caught in a situation like that, but then again, I'm only a sophomore.
Blah, what about the poor woodwinds? That can't be good for their instruments....

hn atleast ur not Floridans! Summer rains last the whole year and AT OUR FESTIVAL IT RAINED ON US but when we walked off field, everyone was running from the rain and clapped for us like we were rock stars. and as soon as we got on the bus............it stopped.

Oh my gosh do I know what you mean!! Our third game of this marching season we were at a school where it poured down rain absolutely all day!! Every time we would start a new song it would rain harder. It sucked. And whenever we had to walk on the track to get somewhat lined up before we did half-time it wasn't paved so it was complete mud!! It's not fun but we did really well and it was fun to see what hairstyles my section (DRUMLINE) could do... heh heh... XD

Oh seriously that's cool :]. Me and this other girl are the only girls who have been in the drumline in a long time. Everyone was shocked whenever my band director went around and told everybody who all the new seventh graders were and he goes "Ok and here are our new drummers: Sydney, Amanda, and Michael" Everybody's like woahhh that's awesome!! Girl drummers!! There are nine of us. The seven guys kept making fun of us

the SAHS Yellow Jackes made i to state, we got 8th...in our class...which was 1 A...out of like 24...or 34 I forget.....

Yeah. I've been there.
Rained in the middle of a competition. The red dye of the feathers on our shakos ran down our cheeks and our uniforms smelled of wet wool. It looked rather cool, but we were freezing.

Haha True that. This year at state finals, we had turrential down pour during our show. The field was so slippery... which doesn't fit with out show, considering we played Miceal Jackson's "thriller" and had to do the dance. -_- Not to mention the fact we ruined our poor plumes on the helmets... which looked like dead seaguls by the end.

Meh, kindof a touchy topic. We missed silver by 1/10 of a point... pretty sad really. But it's all good, we had a great Show ^_^
