Description I came over this www.boredpanda.com/funny-cats-… and just...
Then I remembered that I have heard somewhere that tigers and other big cats have the same tendency when they see a box - preferably as small as possible....thereby I concluded that boxes just are a terrible temptation for cats - and since siderians also are big cats (huge 1.6- 1.5m high tiger/Oriental cat mixes) - I thought...oh then boxes would have the same effect on siderians...and I got this mental picture in mind...Stian (left) a large male claiming a nice, large box - his grandmother Alva in the middle who likes a smaller more cosy box and Rubi (RiverRaven 's character) at the right who wins by putting her flexible body in the tiniest box possible.

Siderian species, characters Stian and Alva by me. Character Rubi belongs to RiverRaven

Ugh...don't tell me... Β  And not only boxes, but also sacks, bags, pots, casseroles etc. Of course it's very amusing to see those furballs trying to fit into the most weird things. The worst is if the item is important (and the little parasite has no intentions to leave and/or attacks when getting near), it's nearly impossible to retrieve it without getting bitten and scarred (my poor hands)

That fluffy golfball in the middle rocks

The fluffy one in the middle, Alva, is the best! She looks really...fluffy. And content.

Haha, awesome - also, it's really nice to see Rubi and Alva again, haven't seen either of them in a while, and they both look great - ha, particularly Alva just looks so comfortable in there, I wanna join her and snuggle up in her mane if she'd let me.

Love the shine on Rubi's coat too, and also, I must say, Stian looks SO handsome here; since his new reference, I can really notice the broader muzzle and more masculine look to his face now, and he really suits it! Love the way his tail forms a "footwarmer" there too in that pose... :'D (one thing though, I can't see the minor lightals on his ears here... have you changed the angle of them?)

Ha, also, I can't help wondering now how my Krovens would react to boxes... hmm, they're certainly FLEXIBLE, but you'd need some pretty damn big boxes! :'D

Thankies!! Yeah I miss the other characters a bit as well. I have some new ones too...not only Saga as I told you in a previous comment, but also a few others...they are taking over my brain XD Therefore it is nice to see some other, 'older' ones as well. Rubi is really flexible and would indeed love to win a box competition while Stian just thinks: if it fits i sits. Ha good that you noticed that I have changed the muzzles a bit; I made the faces of male siderians a bit heavier and more 'angular' - inspired by the huge dimorfism in leopards. Stian now gets more a 'tomcat-face'.
About the lightals - I thought that they would fall behind the ears since they actually stand in a 90degrees angle to the surface. Ha and I would like to see how Krovens react to boxes - they are not cats but maybe they have a another funny reaction??

Whoops, dA was silly and for some reason cut out the other half of my comment!

And yes, I noticed a biiiig difference with Stian here, particularly since his face used to be so narrow I notice now it's a lot heavier looking, but still keeps the angular look he used to have - and it suits him! Yes, leopards do have a big difference - although I see it a bit too in Bengal tigers(not so much Siberian or Sumatran for some reason :'D), and jaguars to an extent.
Ha, Krovens do have dimorphism as well, but it's not always just as pronounced - however males always have a deeper chin than females, and are often more angular, but some females can have more angular features etc. - the chin is just about the one constant.
With Karstatt though this is maybe slightly more pronounced as they do tend to have very heavy chins by KD standards, almost leonine in some cases, and in general have much larger, bonier heads than other clans - because the chin is so pronounced in males, it's sometimes easier to notice the flatter profile of the lower jaw in females... although haha, female Karstatt have heavier lower jaws, much more angular features and larger cheekbones than most males from other clans! So they're "feminine by comparison"Β with the males, but other clans would still consider them fairly masculine in appearance. (including body build - even in humanoid form, there were cases in the past during warfare where female Karstatt were mistaken for males until they either spoke or removed their helmets :'D )
Of course, the dimorphism is even more obvious in some cases with this clan, as males often have beards - bit of a giveaway there!

Ah, that makes sense - I thought that was the case with Alva and Rubi, but I wasn't sure if the unusual kinked shape and tilt of Stian's ears might have made the edges of his lightals visible in this pose.

Ha, perhaps some day I'll have to draw it - ha, I think Adolphus would do similar to Stian and just simply sit there - ha, such a dignified old gentleman. Danzig on the other hand - I see him in my mind strutting around with a box stuck on his head, showing off his latest accessory(but secretly unable to get it off again).
Hmm, maybe if the boxes were different shapes... I could see Reiker perhaps stretched out with his paws, head and tail sticking out of either end of a reaaaaally long, thin box. :'D
In some cases their behaviour is a little bit feline, so maybe they might react similar with boxes. (most of their behaviour is from their own culture and biology, but some things, particularly affection *e.g. purring and rubbing against each other* bear similarities to felines. They don't have any similarities in behaviour to canines though in any circumstances. )

You're very welcome - and yeah, I guess when you're working on one story for a while you don't get the same time to devote to the other characters who aren't involved yet. (I'm having a problem recently with that, since I have some characters set thousands of years ago in the past who are the ancestors of some of my current characters, and involved in pivotal events in history... but although they were set so long ago, I really, REALLY wanna draw them - particularly one guy called Helmutt, ha, I love the big slobber-faced crooked-jawed mutant <3)
