Argh, I'm done I'm done I'm done! No more working on this! So tired of it!I can also tell you I'm not too happy with the results but whatever! It's finally done... even though it could've been a bit better.
I started this picture in late july and have been working on this till now. (because of school taking most of my time now.)
I kind of rushed the last few details so that screwed things up a bit. I also wanted to add more details such as textures and patterns on top of this but perhaps when I feel like it tmr...
hmm. Chains, haven't drawn those for a while. Now I remember why. The shadows and highlights are quite off too but I'm learning. (hopefully)
it's depressing me how I haven't done a full cg for so many months. Or rather, how long I haven't done an ORIGINAL cg.
i'm not going to explain what's going on in the picture because I don't feel the need to. But if you don't understand whats going on in this pic then well, *shrug* tough. (and I mean that in the nicest way as possible!)
I named this pic "Escape" for a season but obviously everyone see things differently.
btw people, in case you can't tell, it's a guy.

Seriously I don't know why you're complaining! It's a stunning work and you already have a lot of details on. About the shading on the chains you don't need to worry about that because there is something called structual shading if you havn't heard of it and honey you rock it! ^^
Besides that you really got a good feeling for the dynamics in this pic as the character really feels like he's about to jump at us and that the chains are coming from our side. Wouldn't surprise me if he was holding a dagger with the hand we're not seeing yet.

It's a gorgeous image. The colors and the highlighted way of shading is lovely.
It truly makes you wonder just what the exact story is behind it, and why this character has to escape.

I really like this, especially the angle. The only thing I really notice that could be wrong is the chain links closest to the viewer, they don't show as much movement as the chains below. I only notice it because I'm having trouble with similar movement.

Awesome use of composition and lighting. I can understand being sick of a piece from just working on it so long though, haha. xD I hope this is one of those pieces that you rekindle a fondness for after being away from it though- it really is a good piece.
