As an American myself it seems from what I see is that "we" mostly brag about our powerful military and "freedoms". Well it's no doubt that we do have the most powerful military in the world, they usual don't talk about other stuff (i.e. worlds largest prison population).
Also if you were to give any sort of criticism people will tell you to 'STFU', 'You're an ungrateful bastard', 'You fuckin commie!', 'Go move to Europe if you like em so much' etc.

I agree the soviets knew how to make good guns, and the AK will probobly be around forever since there is vurtuslly no other rifle that has that kind popularity. And sadly yes that has happen in the past in Vietnam and in other third world countries to stop a uprising and save a dictator. It's just like how the Terroist groups in the Middle East and across the world used western weapons (along with some soviet rifles and rocket launchers) to kill NATO/ US/ UN troops so you could also say it's killing capitalists with capitalist weapons too.
