Winter holidays are over and now I have no time or strength to draw. And it's right after I've got the internet back! <)

Anyway, when I was trying to think off something to draw, Alphys came to my mind in her underswap form. And you know what? I don't like the "official" version of US Alphys . And by official, I mean version of general consent. I don't like her because she seems to be just Undyne in Alphys' body. Maybe I don't get it, but it's not what the AUs are for. I think they are for creating new characters or exploring current ones by putting them in different situations. But most of the UnderSwap cast are just swapping the bodies. What's the difference between Undyne and US Alphys? I don't see any significant difference. Maybe she doesn't like anime or has both of her eyes, but it's not changing her character at all. And it's not like this Alphys is the original Alphys but in the charge of Royal Guard. The original one can't really talk to anyone, the biggest steps for her were to give a call to the Frisk. Can you imagine her commanding the freaking Royal Guard? And hey, maybe she can, but she definitely would not stay the exact same character (or become exactly like Undyne). It just feels lazy to me, like people creating "new characters" by painting old ones in different colors. But I don't think people are taking it that seriously, they're probably making it just for fun. So yeah, I'm probably upset about it, because I don't see people taking it duper serious like I do )

Bottom line - I don't like the "official" version of US Alphys. And that's why I was trying to create my own. I was trying to do that by taking the original Alphys, putting her in the position of the captain and trying to figure out how this would work.

So, my US Alphys is iron citadel that doesn't let anyone close to her, rarely talks both to her subordinates and simple folk. Only things that she says are orders and scary speeches about what will happen to those who will disobey her (and sometimes scary stories about how she became a captain). She also wears that scary armor of her when she going out of the house. Her tactic is to scare the living poop out of her allies so enemies would be scared even more )
But this all is actually an act, a lie. In truth she is pretty scaredy-cat that hides behind her helmet and her subordinates. She even has a fake scar, as you can see in the picture. And, like the original, she's afraid of what people thinking about her. But instead of trying to look like a hero (at least in the Frisk's eyes) she is making the living terror out of herself in everyone's mind, so everyone must respect her or, at least, staying away from her.

So this is what I got for now about her. Maybe I'll think off more about her, maybe not.
