I was reading this book when I recalled the cairn stores in AC Valhalla: used to teach people and stack stones to build structures when frames for stacked earth structures were not easily available or viable due to size and applying concrete: moulding in times when the scientific calculation for gravity was not available then found myself intrigued by the slate architecture around me and how it was easier to stack in squares rather then circles used in temples in ancient times due to cylindrical structures collapsing in on themselves more easily and how architecture has advanced since.
