Chapter 2

The Oni and Slenderman had agreed with what they were going to do. Through a series of competitions against each other, the impossible beings were going to fight for Hiroshi. It was bad enough he had already lost his friends but seeing him just become an object of possession...an object to desire. Hiroshi felt the tentacles of Slenderman slowly uncoil around him and himself slowly being put down. Slenderman didn't let him go completely, he couldn't escape. Even if he did try to run, Slenderman and the Oni would give chase. If he returned home...his family would be killed along with the rest of the town, he could easily be killed and then the rest of his home town would be targeted too. He was powerless, the feeling of himself being strong in the mansion...solving the puzzles, knowing that they pushed him to his limits he solved them. He solved them all but how the Oni was here.

*This human has solved all your puzzles and escaped. He was smart enough to avoid running to familiar territory so that you wouldn't find where he lived,* Slenderman complimented Hiroshi. He couldn't understand them but he wanted to. Understand them more, how they remained hidden for all these years, how they remained a rumour without the evidence.

*He could easily find all your pages before you can find him!* The Oni roared at Slenderman.

"Can't you just tie me to a tree or something? Being held by a tentacle isn't fun," Hiroshi whined as he tugged on the tentacle which kept him in place.

*He's going to need a way to understand us...* The Oni mentioned.

*Yes, that is true. A smart boy like him can't understand us which makes him not understand our speech,* Slenderman nodded in agreement.

Hiroshi wasn't sure what he should be doing. Just watching the two monsters fighting over something (he guessed was him) didn't make any sense. Hiroshi couldn't even move due to the tentacle around him. He would have given up hope if he didn't escape from the Oni in the mansion. Hiroshi kept trying to think up a way out of this puzzle.

*The human will learn once I claim him,* Oni said happily. Slenderman made a growling noise at the Oni. Hiroshi could only figure out that the Oni had said something which Slenderman didn't agree with. The tentacle around Hiroshi tightened from Slenderman's anger and Hiroshi groaned slightly. His body was already weak from all the running that he had done in the mansion without any food. Trying to rescue all his friends only to see them die and turned into more Onis the next time he saw them.

*The human will not belong to you!* Slenderman yelled at Oni. Oni smiled like he normally did before they both turned to Hiroshi; he was cringing in pain as the tentacle which coiled around him was getting tighter and tighter the longer that Slenderman was mad at Oni.

"Can you let me go?" Hiroshi yelled. The two monsters looked at Hiroshi before Slenderman uncoiled the tentacle around Hiroshi so that Hiroshi didn't feel constricted. Slenderman looked back at Oni.

*Shall I go and get some rope to tie him up so that you don't actually kill him?* Oni asked Slenderman.

*Back to the mansion then?*

*Yes back to the mansion.*

Hiroshi struggled as much as possible before he felt himself lifted into the air. Slenderman and the Oni walked back to the mansion to get some rope. The games they were going to play to win their price needed to be special. They needed to catch each other out if they had any chance of winning Hiroshi as their prize. They couldn't share him but they weren't going to let each other win anything. For the human known as Hiroshi, he was rare and precious.
