Description Halloween Costume

6411-U watched Killer T from a distance, the bubbling rage that he felt whenever he looked at the cell started to rise up inside of him, the fury Killer T expressed when U-1146 spoke about forging friendships with the other cells…the pain that swiftly flared when the stronger cell dished out that punch. It was something neither of them were ever going to forget, U-1146 never forgot the pain that erupted from his cheek and how sore it had been for a while, 6411-U never forgot pain. His life was nothing but pain from a variety of sources.

That was why the glitch neutrophil was silently observing how Killer T behaved while training the Naive T cells with a plan formulating into his mind. There was the buzz going around the body of a special seasonal event in which the host (and any glucose loving cells) enjoyed celebrating, Halloween. There seemed to be a chill in the body whenever Halloween arrived for the host, and the buzz from the normal cells and red blood cells could be felt anywhere in the body. 6411-U never quite understood why they should all be excited…but he wasn’t a fan of glucose so maybe that was why he didn’t seem to care. This year though, would be different.

“It’s become a tradition for the normal cells to dress up as other cells or monsters, there’s been a couple of times when a normal cell dressed up as a virus infected cell or a bacteria…they were scolded harshly and their costume removed,” 6411-U heard one of the red blood cells inform a younger or newbie red blood cell. He had silently stolen their hats before they had realised and escaped with them to add to his never-ending sea of hats.

With a small smile on his face, his plan formulating in his mind as to how he was going to pull off the hairstyle that Killer T had. He already had his hands on a killer T hat (one stolen from Killer T cell himself) but he had yet to get his hands on the uniform. He wasn’t strong enough to take out a killer T cell to steal the uniform and he couldn’t ask for one…being a neutrophil. It was weird enough having to wear the white uniform if his dark grey uniform got damaged. No, he needed to put his stealing fingers to the test, hats were worth a lot more to him than uniforms.

“Alright you maggots! Start running!” 6411-U was brought out of his thoughts as Killer T’s bark cut through the delightful thoughts. He heard the naive T cells respond with a “Yes Sir!” before they jumped up from the ground and started to do laps around the grounds. 6411-U remained in the shadows, his black coloured eye not leaving Killer T’s hat until he was ready to make a move. For now, it was studying how Killer T moved, showed his body language and most of all…admiring the hat that sat on top of the blond cell’s angry and aggressive body. Were the naive T cells really that irritating to him? Or was it how weak they were? 6411-U couldn’t understand what went on in that pea sized brain.

It took many hours before 6411-U left from his little hiding place and went to get everything ready. He had grown bored of observing the training, and with a headache forming didn’t want to tell U-1146 what he was doing. U-1146 had enough to worry about on his plate. The fact that Cancer cell had changed his plan, worried over AE 3803 (6411-U didn’t like her), any germ invasion that could spring any moment and then…U-1146 worried about 6411-U too. The glitch neutrophil could always sense the worry his brother had for him when they were separated after encounters with his old mentor. That neutrophil seemed to have developed a hatred for 6411-U when he first appeared as a myelocyte…some anti-guilt prejudice towards him.

6411-U strolled through the lymphatic vessel and kept his eyes out to see if he could find some easy to steal killer T uniform. He frowned when he struggled to find one piece of uniform, the immune cells had learnt quickly that if they spotted 6411-U, to protect their hats. The red blood cells were either carrying oxygen, carbon dioxide of basket of nutrients to really stop him. Platelets weren’t free from the stealing habits of his hands.

“How hard is it to find some uniform?” 6411-U muttered quietly under his breath as he kept searching around where he knew the killer T cells roamed. He didn’t care if he got some strange looks from the nearby cells as they wandered around or were sitting on the benches. That was when he picked up a glitch signal…How could he have forgotten?! “James!” He exclaimed before turning around and sprinting back towards the training grounds.

James was another glitch cell, a killer T cell. He had a rather playful personality and nothing serious like the other killer T cells were. He was possibly the easiest killer T cell to get along with as long as you could put up with the constant question of wanting to play sports. It was James’ quirk much like 6411-U’s quirk was stealing hats. Running to the sports area he found James playing badminton with a normal cell and their recent copy. He scanned the court and spotted his blond-haired friend as he served the shuttlecock across the net. One normal cell darted forwards and aimed to hit the shuttlecock back for James. Unable to bring himself to bother the energetic killer T cell, 6411-U decided to wait until a point was scored.

It didn’t take long for James to score.

“James, may I talk to you?” 6411-U called as the three cells turned their attention towards 6411-U, the glitch killer T cell’s eyes lit up upon seeing 6411-U.

“Kuro! Come over here! Grab a racket!” James yelled (was that something all killer T cells do?) as he beckoned 6411-U over. A smile formed on the glitch neutrophil’s face as he rolled his eyes and walked over. If this was going to be the only way to get to James and talk then he would have to join in.

“Isn’t he the hat thief?” One normal cell asked his copy, the other cell nodded.

“We don’t have hats so he doesn’t normally bother us.”

“What about during winter?”

“Then you’ll need to be careful,” the normal cell laughed. 6411-U picked up a racket and walked onto the court. The game started once more when the normal cell served the shuttlecock.

Cells at Work – Halloween Costume

“Alright, you’re all clean brother,” U-4989 chuckled after having dumped a bucket of water over U-1146. “You sure get covered in cytoplasm whenever you fight, huh?”

“Guess that’s just part of who I am,” U-1146 glanced up at the neutrophil behind him and smiled. U-4989 and U-1146 were very close to each other, their friendship bloomed before they were even allocated a division of their own. They were both excited when they discovered that they would be working in the same division together, U-4989 was also one of the first few cells who 6411-U bonded with too. There was just something about the easily excited, food-motivated neutrophil that seemed to click well with U-1146 and 6411-U. Standing up from his squatting position, U-1146 shook his head quickly and sprayed U-4989 was the water.

“Don’t start a water fight you know you’re going to lose, brother~” U-4989 spoke as he tried to keep a straight face as he held an empty bucket. U-1146 glanced at the bucket before back at U-4989 and watched as the straight face morphed into a childish smile before the cell burst out laughing. “I’ll win!”

“You always win,” U-1146 chuckled. There were times like this he wished he could share with the other cells but alas, majority of the non-immune cells were still rather intimidated by the immune cells.

Maybe it wasn’t the immune cells themselves, but rather how they handled the killing? U-1146 failed to see the issues until AE 3803 had pointed them out to him. Their bloodlust was something, the desire to slaughter any invading germ in the body whenever the receptor reacted was something neutrophils (such as himself) were trained to summon. How their uniform consisted of white to represent purity could easily become stained with red, smearing the purity they once represented. Then there were the phagocyte abilities…a few cells had seen how the neutrophils ate. Sinking their teeth into the dead foes to either help identify them or to satisfy their hunger. U-1146 had found the bitter taste of the cytoplasm rather rewarding (6411-U liked the cytoplasm too, something he could digest) while other neutrophils preferred the bacteria membrane.

“Brother!” U-1146 and U-4989 turned their attention towards the source of the voice. 6411-U was running to them with a bright smile on his face and a wobbling stack of hats on over his neutrophilic hat. A few red blood cell hats, platelet hats, other white neutrophil hats and one dendritic hat. How 6411-U managed to get his hands on a dendritic hat was beyond U-1146 and U-4989’s knowledge.

“Something wrong, 6411-U?” U-4989 asked as 6411-U slowed down but U-1146 could feel the excitement radiating from the darkly dressed cell.

“What do you think?” 6411-U asked as he spun around on the spot. U-1146 scanned his brother’s body, unsure on what his brother was showing off. Seeing the confused expressions on the neutrophils face, 6411-U let out a sigh. “This is a killer T uniform!”

“Last time I checked, killer T cells don’t wear anything under their tops,” U-4989 pointed out as he ran his finger over the neutrophil under top 6411-U currently wore.

“This isn’t a perfect costume but it’ll do for what I want it for.”

“Question is, are you going to try and hide all your hair into your hat or…?” U-1146 asked.

“I’d rather keep that eye hidden; glitch cells are still mostly unknown…”

“So, your Halloween costume is Killer T?” U-1146 asked and smiled as he watched 6411-U frantically nod, the tower of hats wobbled on his head. If he looked closely, he could see how excited his brother was to the point where he was sparkling. “Why Killer T and not a classic vampire? A vampire suits you more.”

“That’s too obvious, besides dressed up as Killer T feels a lot more fun and satisfying,” 6411-U smirked deviously. U-1146 and U-4989 looked at each other before looking back at the excited glitch neutrophil. Both wanted to see the fruit of 6411-U’s plan even If it backfired on him.

Cells at Work – Halloween Costume

“Did I say you could take a break?!” Killer T yelled at a naive T cell who had just decided to try and take a small break from all the training they had been doing. Killer T cell pinched the bridge of his nose and let out a loud sigh, clearly irritated by the training performance.

“N-n-no sir!” The younger cell yelled as he jumped up to resume training.

“Oi! Killer T!” Killer T cell quickly turned around to see 6411-U standing behind him. How he got there so quickly caught the T cell off guard (but he didn’t show) for a second. He mentally cursed how silent this neutrophil could be if he wanted to. If anything, he was glad that it was the strange cell rather than that buggy bastard Cancer cell or that irritating cell, NK. He noticed the uniform and scowled.

“What the hell are you doing in that uniform?!” 6411-U’s smile widened on his face.

“I’m being you for Halloween~”
