Chapter 14

November 11 wasn't going to hand Li back over to whoever his boss was; he wasn't going to hand Li over to MI-6 or the police or anyone. He was going to keep Li for himself for a little while longer, just until he had learnt enough about the contractor before letting him go back to wherever he lived and worked. Li was better off alive for multiple reasons but with the way LE-192 was looking at the two of them, November 11 was going to have to kill off the other contractor to keep Li's identity as the Black Reaper safe from the metropolitan police and any other company hacking their way to catching the infamous contractor. LE-192 drew his own blood for payment so that could be easily stopped and disrupted. November 11 always had his cigarettes nearby and a lighter so that he could pay off his contract. That was something November 11 needed to figure out, Li's payment for his contract.

"November 11..." Li said in a wary and scared voice. His acting was impressive, November 11 gave him that. November 11 gave Li a simple nod while keeping his attention on LE-192; the contractor was focusing his attention on Li.

"One more warning contractor, hand over BK-201," LE-192 spoke again. He saw that November 11 didn't move a muscle. Lifting up his finger, he aimed another laser beam at the opposing contractor protecting his target. He watched as BK-201 backed up slight but even when playing the 'idiot' (as the Syndicate had once called him) he was already getting ready to avoid any beams that came his way. The simple fact that the spectres around here would catch him eventually didn't mean anything to him, as long as he stuck in character had 'invisible' things kept him moving and making him fall, he would be safe. "Then you die." A laser was fired from his fingers at November 11.

November 11 couldn't help but laugh after the threat the spoken, both himself and Li moved out of the way of the laser, shooting directly above the two of them didn't cause any worry for either of them. Li had moved down to tie his shoe while November 11 took a side step. LE-192 fired another laser, he didn't need long to re-charge between lasers so November 11 needed to make sure that he needed to read one-step ahead of the enemy and to keep an eye on Li too. His contractor nature told him that he was going to flee at the first chance that he got and this battle was the perfect opportunity to escape. Another laser was fired at November 11.

Under the Mask – Chapter 14

"This is going to attract Misaki," Hei thought to himself as he played his 'good luck' card that Misaki had called it before. Hei was busy tying his shoe, he knew that LE-192 wasn't going to target him directly until November 11 was taken out; he wasn't the target for a laser unlike his...captor? That didn't sound right. Pal? No, that's too friendly. Call him a team member? That sounded better. Hei finished tying up his shoe laces to see that LE-192 was keeping November 11 away from him, a nice smart move coming from a contractor of the Syndicate. Too bad he was up against another Syndicate contractor. Syndicate contractors were trained to capture their targets easier than other contractors. LE-192 was always making his way over to Hei while November 11 couldn't reach him to protect him. It wasn't long before sirens were heard. Misaki was on her way with the other police members. Hei couldn't help but smile, for a change, Misaki being here was something that Hei actually needed.

"For once, you're glad to hear them?" November 11 asked Hei, he nodded with a little smile on his face. For once, the police here was something that he needed. Poor little Li couldn't be labelled as BK-201, that'll break Misaki's heart and put his life on the line. If she knew that Li was who she was hunting for, it wouldn't end well for either of them. At least with November 11, he could enjoy some freedom being both personalities given to him, his contractor nature as well as the human nature that he picked up while mingling in with society.

"For once," Hei smiled as the police car siren lights came into sight. LE-192 turned to see the police cars, taking note on the annoying blue car which the Syndicate warned him about. Many times had that blue car and the owner interrupted BK-201's missing, but this time, BK-201 wasn't the one they were after as his star wasn't active.

"BK-201, you won't escape," LE-192 said as he aimed a laser at the police cars. Hei knew that he should have just left him alone to destroy the police, but he couldn't let Misaki die because of him. Getting up after 'tying' his shoe lace Hei's expression went dark for a split second (noticed by November 11) as he ran over to LE-192 and mentally prepared himself for what he was just about to go and do. Misaki got out the car and slammed the door shut, drawing out her gun she froze when she saw Li running in front of the attacking contractor, the look on November 11's face showed fear too. The laser was fired.
