Description Chapter 17

The three MI-6 agents looked at the doll for a while before November 11 looked away. He was aware that Li had a doll of his own; he could only guess that she was here so that his other team could come and pick him up, taking him away forever. He couldn't help but think bitter thoughts about her and Li's team. They weren't even coming to help him; they didn't even care about him. They were just using him like all the other people in the world wanted to use him. Misaki...she wanted him caught and handed over so he'll be killed...but if she knew that he was Li...Would she still do the same? No, she would put her police work ahead of how she really felt, work-a-holics always did. They make the sacrifices that others wouldn't do. November 11 couldn't let Li go back so soon. Whatever caused him to defend Misaki...the panic in the kitchen...it felt connected. November 11 could only think of the meteor shard which Amber had but the mention of Amber flicks of one of Li's switches and he'll hunt her down and take her own life...November 11 wanted to know but at the same time...he didn't want to know. Information is dangerous and information about Li's past was probably going to stay in the shadows...until he was ready to reveal the secrets of his past. He was aware that the doll was waiting for an answer from him but he didn't know what answer he should give her.

"Please...?" She asked again.

"Who sent you?" November 11 snapped back at the doll.

"What's Hei to you...?"

"Just a contractor I'm going to turn to my boss when he's healed," November 11 said before April looked away quickly to giggle to herself. There wasn't any way that November 11 was telling the truth now. Li was more than that to November 11; he had such an influence over November 11 that it was funny.

"No one sent me..." She spoke after a while.

"I asked her..." July said. April and November 11 turned their attention to their own doll, the young male had asked this doll to come just because of Li? It wasn't impossible...but how did July know about this doll and that it belonged to BK-201 and not tell them?

"We'll take you to him, it'll probably put him at ease," April spoke quickly before November 11 had the chance to say anything. It wasn't like it was going to do any harm or that she would contact anyone without Li's permission or anything like that.

"We'll take you if you don't relay any information about this." November 11 wasn't going to let Li be taken back by his team so quickly, there was still so much to learn about him that he wasn't ready to let him go. He knew that he was going to have to give Li back to his group or the MI-6 were going to send agents to see what November 11 was doing, discover Li and take him by force. ME was going to be used and Li's memories would be erased...that wasn't something November 11 wanted to go through, not when it would erase everything they had done together, all the battles they fought together. Their kiss together, November 11 didn't want Li to forget about that. The doll nodded.

"No information will be relayed...To protect Hei."

Under the Mask – Chapter 17

Hei lay down in the hospital bed and watched the staff pass by his room. He already felt ready to make a move and leave the hospital. He hated staying still for long periods of time it he remained stationed for too long without any orders he started to feel useless. With this running in Hei's mind, he pushed him up from the bed, pain shot through his body but he didn't care, he was going to leave and that was going to be that. Hei sat up straight in the bed and threw the covers off him as he swung his legs over to the side of the bed. The IV and other medical equipment was still connected to him, removing them before he was ready meant that the nurses and doctors were going to be alerted, something Hei wasn't going to do until he was out the window and on the way back to a safe place. He didn't care where, just as long as he was away from the hospital and staying in the bed. Pushing himself up from his bed he moved to see how much room he would have to move before the IV threatened to ring the alarm. He didn't have much room to work with.

"Damn..." He muttered to himself. It wasn't even reaching half-way across to the window. If he wanted to get out...it was going to be easier to rip it out and leg it out the window. It was foolproof if he wasn't injured. But he was, so it might be more of struggle to get out from the hospital and escape without getting caught. Most of him believed that he was going to cause an issue if he tried to escape without getting caught. There were also the enemy threats that he dealt with when he was on his own. Something he didn't want November 11 or anyone else to get caught up in. The Syndicate had already made their move to try and take him back...was LE-192 defeated? He didn't know as he was unconscious after the laser hit him directly. Was the Syndicate going to send more people to catch him and to return him back to his boss? Or were they going to try something else?

"Sir, you really should be in bed," a nurse said as she watched Hei, Hei smiled and slowly returned to the bed once more.

"Sorry, I wanted to see out the window, staring at the ceiling all day gets boring," Hei smiled sheepishly. The nurse nodded, understanding what he meant, it was boring for patients to stare up at the ceiling all day when they're recovering.

"I'm sorry that you're restricted from your injury," she smiled at Hei.

"It isn't your fault nurse. I was careless."

"You got caught up in an accident, just be careful next time, okay?" She smiled at Hei who smiled back. He figured that it was going to be in his best interest to stay on the staff's good side, they were the ones looking after him after all.

"I'll do my best to avoid any further accidents," the nurse smiled as Hei climbed back into bed and pulled the covers back over him like a good little boy that he was. He just needed for the nurse to see that he was behaving himself and leave before he could get back to his plan of escaping. The nurse stayed a few more minutes just checking up on his charts, IV bag and everything else before she smiled at Hei and left the room. He breathed a sigh of relief as he went to make his move again. Throwing the covers off him left the bed again, ignoring the pain shooting through his body at his sudden movements. He wasn't going to deal with anything at the moment, he wanted freedom, he wanted to be out of here and he was going to get that. He would have been happier being sent to the Syndicate's hospital...but then that would mean getting taken away from November 11 when he had done so much to help him after the contractor attack. He would probably return back to his apartment...felt safer...until November 11 finds him again. That was something that he shouldn't be looking forward to...but did. With his injuries now...November 11 would feel obligated to keep him in the bedroom while he rested.

There was soon a knock on the door, capturing Hei's attention as he turned to look at the door. He saw the smiling face of November 11 and the expressionless face of Yin. With Yin being here, raised questions in Hei's mind. She was with Mao and Huang, so what was she doing here? Did she care for him like he cared about her? He looked at November 11 who shrugged and helped her into the room and to the bed.

"You weren't planning on escaping, were you?" November 11 asked Hei. Hei quickly looked away, was he that suspicious? He was dropping if November 11 could figure that out so quickly.

"No." Hei lied. There wasn't any point trying to cover it up. Yin moves away from November 11 and gently wrapped her arms around Hei. November 11 wasn't quite sure how to react. Should he be glad that Hei had his doll back? The way she was holding him meant different though, it wasn't just a simple hug, it was more of a lovers hug. Hei smiled gently and returned the hug back to Yin, holding her gently he felt his whole body settling down and relaxing with her. November 11 looked away, believing that Hei and Yin were lovers.

"I'll...leave you two alone..." November 11 said as he went to leave.

"Just wait outside please?" Hei asked him. November 11 nodded and left the two of them alone, Hei wanted him outside, so that was what he was going to do, wait until needed.

Under the Mask – Chapter 17

Time passed before his doll came back out from Hei's room and gently tugged on November 11's sleeve. "Take him..." She spoke softly as she took her leave, letting November 11 back into the room where Hei was. He could only guess that Hei had fallen back to sleep to recover more. He wasn't sure what she meant by asking him to take him. Did the doll know something that neither of them did?

"Take him where?" November 11 asked.

"Take him to the Stargazer..." Yin said and walked out the corridor.

"Stargazer...? But that's with the surveillance spectres."
