Chapter 18

November 11 sat in Hei's room. Hei had been sound asleep for a while since his doll had left him. She said that he needed to get him to Stargazer. He had never met Stargazer before but knew that Misaki has met Stargazer. Stargazer was with all the dolls used for their observation spectres which travelled around the city. When a contractor became active, they tracked it down the contractor and relayed the information back to the observation tower. November 11 watched as Hei curled up into the ball-form he had seen before, taking up as little space as possible on his medical bed. November 11 knew that he needed to act quickly, Hei's company were going to make another move to get Hei back and ruin everything. November 11 checked his watch; visiting hours were almost over so he was running out of time. He left his chair to check to see where the doctors were and to see if he could leave as soon as possible, with Hei secure in his arms. The coast was clear and he made his move. November 11 went back to the room and gently shook Hei awake.

"Hmm...?" Hei mumbled as he slowly opened his eyes and moved to face November 11.

"Did you have a nice sleep?" November 11 smiled at Hei.

"What's wrong...?" Hei asked confused.

"We're leaving," November 11 whispered to Hei so that the doctors and nurses couldn't hear them.

"My clothes..."

"You'll need a new shirt, something which can easily be sorted," he smiled.

"How are you getting me out of here...?" Hei asked November 11.

"Through the front door," November 11 said as he gently scooped up Hei in his arms. A blush formed on Hei's face, feeling warm inside while being held by the contractor of ice. For once, he was glad to be in November 11's company. You wouldn't have heard him think that before.

It was a surprise to Hei to see that November 11 was carrying him out from the ward without any of the nurses or doctors stopping him. He looked up at November 11 to see him with a cold face on which said that he wasn't going to deal with anything that they had to offer. Hei looked away from November 11's face and gently rested his head against November 11's chest, he was glad to have his legs on November 11's right or he wouldn't be able to hear the gently heart beat of November 11. It was something which helped sooth Hei, hearing the heart. The gentle rhythm of November 11's beating heard slowly helped Hei into a peaceful slumber. The ice cold contractor was surprisingly warm.

Amber held up the meteor shard up to the sun, watching the sun through the meteor shard was something that she enjoyed doing. The thought that Hei and November 11 were going to be working together was something that she wasn't expecting at all. The two were opposites of each other. It was funny how opposites attracted each other; Amber was going to enjoy it.

"Don't worry Bai, he'll be free soon," she giggled happily.

November 11 looked over his shoulder at Hei, sound asleep since he left hospital. He was puzzled on how he was supposed to take Hei to Stargazer, something like that was impossible with all the doll spectres around the city as well as all the dolls in the observatory where stargazer was. November 11 only knew about Stargazer's location thanks to Misaki dropping the information unknowingly. Sometimes Misaki really needed to remember that November 11 was a contractor and could easily go there and ruin everything. Letting contractors go out without fear of the police finding them. Still...if Li's doll needed Li to be there, then what was he supposed to do? Ignore her and flee somewhere away with Li? That was sure to let Misaki know that BK-201 and Li was the same individual, information he couldn't let out so soon. That information was priceless, so he wasn't going to give it out to anyone. April and July had to know because he needed them to keep an eye on Li as he recovered. Looking behind him, he watched Li sleep in the bed. Silence was left between the two of them before he heard Li's stomach give out the classic loud growl, demanding food.

"Looks like you're hungry," November 11 smiled as he pushed himself up off the bed and walked out the room to head towards the kitchen.

Hei stirred awake as his stomach gave out another growl. Hungry which couldn't be ignored was calling him and it wasn't going to be silenced until he ate something...the more food the better though. The constant feeling of hunger was driving him crazy, he heard that November 11 knew that he was hungry and probably left his side. One of the rare moments that he's had...being alone. Hei gently opened his midnight eyes and looked around the empty room. He had hoped that November 11 didn't just order something or just got a ready meal sorted. No, November 11 knew differently. It wasn't like November 11 wanted a lecture from Hei about food again. Hei couldn't help but chuckle slightly while remembering the lecture that he gave November 11 about food. Giving the lecture was something that Hei actually enjoyed doing, although November 11 hated it. Hei wasn't sure if it was because Hei was patronising or just the way Hei presented the lecture. Hei made it feel like he was the teacher and November 11 was his pupil, something that Hei half-enjoyed doing.

Hei turned to the door to see November 11 walking through with a tray of food for him. Gently handing Hei the tray, he could tell by how much food there was that November 11 had used a cook book for some foods on the tray. It was the thought that counts.

"Thanks November 11," he smiled up at the British contractor before he decided to tuck into the meal that November 11 made. The food wasn't perfect but it tasted better than what Hei could have made himself. Then again, everything tastes better when someone else has made it for you. It is based around how your brain thinks, when one individual makes something for themselves, they assume how it tastes so already know while if someone else made it, it was a mystery.

"How are we going to get you to Stargazer?" November 11 asked.

"I don't know..." Hei replied.
