So, today is Father's Day, the day to show our appreciation to dads everywhere. So, to celebrate this day, I decided to draw a companion piece to the drawing I made for Mother's Day - one that showcases the Heffley brothers showing their appreciation for their father Frank!

Now, this drawing was a lot harder to formulate than its distaff counterpart, because while Susan Heffley is an outwardly affectionate person, Frank really isn't. He's stern and serious and doesn't really show his emotions much (unless the emotion in question is anger). In one book, he has to be reminded by Susan to hug his children. In addition, while Susan doesn't seem to dislike any of her children in any way, Frank is clearly disappointed in Rodrick, and it took the entirety of Dog Days for him to warm up to Greg. But, even still, I do think, at the end of the day, Frank loves his kids and wants the best for them.

So, in celebration of Father's Day, I drew the Heffley brothers hanging out with their dear ol' dad.
