Weeks After the Crystal Empire Evacuation...

As the The Corruption still lays dormant on the former Crystal Empire territories, the allied forces of the living are beginning to... for a lack of a better term, "slack off". The Corruption hasn't moved in weeks and with that, some soldiers of the allied forces are beginning to not take their duties as seriously as before, and with the snow coming in from the pegasi from each weather factory, it was going to get a bit chilly for some time now. Of course, with Hearth's Warming Eve drawing near, it was understandable.

Some soldiers heading back to spend time with their friends, family, or loved ones for Hearth's Warming Eve, of course they would take that chance. Unfortunately, some soldiers of the allied forces don't have that luxury and as such, must stay at their positions and await further instructions, but at the very least, they get a warm drink.

As Cotton Cross sat upon the now snowy covered fort, she thought about the recent events that has occured. The Corruption stopped attacking for now and that's good!

Even then, she is left to her own thoughts, all alone in her area with nothing but her stuff and the light that accompanies her. It was nearly Hearth's Warming Eve, she knew that, her friends knew that, everyone knew that. As she looks down upon the hot chocolate she made by herself at the barracks, she simply... smiled. A smile that's barely visible in the light.

Even with the terrible things going on in the world, she can't help but smile. She knows that it was odd to smile at a time like this, but she didn't care. After all, it was nearly Hearth's Warming Eve, can't let something like The Corruption ruin her somewhat happy mood, right?
