This an entry for Octo-Hedgie 's contest! I wasn't quite sure of their personalities but I loved Calliope and Aegis's designs so I just had to draw them. Calliope's markings reminded me of a turtle so I wanted to put her in the water but I didn't want to do an entirely watery scene (since honestly I'm not that good at drawing water uffuff) so this scenery just popped up in mind. The lanterns were inspired by playing cards.

It's been a really long time since I've drawn anything horse-like so that was fun! The anatomy's not perfect but I'm pretty happy with the results.
