In ages past were great geniesWho were skilled in pretend
But soon enough their tricks caught up
And were quick to offend
Though they’d long been up to their games
Of clever deception
There were others more skilled than them
In tricking perception
It was a fool’s mistake to make
To go against those ones
Who change in the blink of an eye
To feud with leprechauns

Only once in a trap
After that quick vengeance was sought
T’was their one true mishap
Their flimsy contract was broken
Their reputation, lost
They’d bought temporary power
Without knowing the cost

Every creature around the globe
Quickly withheld much trust
