Another drawing from my profile update! I really love this one. Keeping myself to a strict palette was definitely a good idea and practice, it made me experiment with how I shaded and come to this sketchier look I really like. Side views are still really tricky for me but this one ended up looking alright after a lot of fixing up in the sketch (trying to kick that habit of "I'll fix it/detail it in the lines." So far so good). I will also be unabashedly proud of that umbrella! No attempts at umbrellas previously have gone this well
Also...okay. I'll admit the gray-ish background color was not in the original palette. I used it to see the lines more clearly when drawing aaand I just really liked it so I added this background I hadn't planned to do initially. I think it's cute though so I feel 0% bad about grabbing a new color! I want to experiment with simple bgs like this more in my illustrations.
