Yay! ^_^ a return to some warm, fuzzy drawings, no more spooky Five Nights at Freddy's ^_^ I stayed up way past my bedtime to get this one done tonight, but I'm super happy to have finished it <3 With the coming of fall I thought it'd be nice to have a little autumnal drawing in the mix ^_^ And that little sapling is lucky that pegasi are lightweights xDΒ
I hope you all have a wonderful night, and get the sweetest dreams possible. ^_^ I know I'm about to follow Fluttershy's lead and curl up for the night myself ^_^Β

Now I know this picture is very simplistic in nature. But the way I see art is different, this will be my first critique.
Now there is not much to look at in the picture initially. I personally would have added more to the picture itself. Because in art theres always a story to be told. But not always. And this is where I find the piece original in itself.
Most professional artists who are well established in their craft tend to think more detail would bring a picture to life more, and it does! But for a piece like this, its not necessary. Thus the originality. Every artist wants to draw and try something different in some way. All of us are, we're human. Thats just the thing we do.
But when you're trying to convey a feeling, its not really that essential to detail a piece. As for technique, there could be more added to it. Maybe have the colors shaded slightly. Every artist has their own way of doing things but color in itself is associated a lot with the overall mood of the drawing.
But I feel all that was intentional, warm colors are always associated with passionate, happy feelings. Which brings me to the overall Impact of the piece.
The style, the simplistic colors of the piece all has a point, like in a story, there is always an underlying moral. With a piece like this its not much for a story, or an explanation. But rather an expression of a certain emotion from the artist itself. Something we fellow artists can relate to.
Because of the simplicity of the piece? I feel at ease, peace with myself. These feelings are reflected to me when I contemplate what this piece means to me. A simple picture doesn't have alot to say, because feelings don't use words.
An emotion is a state of being, something that everyone, should relate to.
Overall, this piece is well done. I would love to see more like this in the future, thank you for sharing this with us.
