This is a sketch I did last Valentine's Day.

I’ve been doing some scribbling and I saw a shoe design from Adidas that looked interesting and unique. Printed along the side of the shoe is a sketch of a city skyline with some animals and birds and dead trees and silhouettes of people sitting on rocks. It looked like it had depth and assuming that it was a game like World of Goo or Angry Birds, it would [I think] exhibit a parallax scrolling effect once you scroll the image from left to right. But of course, those things were only in my imagination [too much game programming].

Anyway, the design was black and white. That simple. No colors. No duo tones. Just two shades. Two. Two’s a good number. Two, according to the Free Dictionary by Parflex, is the cardinal number equal to the sum of 1+1. It is something having two parts or members. This gave me an idea of what to sketch for Valentine's day.
