okay, since the last post got a far better reception than i was excpecting (..i was expecting next to nothing) i thought i'd indulge further...
from left to right; Matrim Cauthon, Rand al'Thor and Perrin Aybara, main characters from the 'Wheel of Time'
selfishly last time i said i want more people to read it, or draw from it, it seems hardly any fanart exists for it! i want to see more!
I will create the fan art base all by myself if i have to!! lol

i agree. i also want to see more. i think the main reason more people dont read it is because they're intimidated by it. i mean there's 11 books and countless characters to remember, several different story lines running simultaneously.... you really gotta pay attention to it.

I'm two thirds of the way through the second book, and I have three and four...I haven't even made a dent in the series yet, I'm afraid. But! But! I can't wait to finish so I can do fan works too! EXPAND THE FANBASE! EXPAND I SAY!

hmm i laways thought that Rand had a more redish hair color, a trait from his Aiel ancestors and Perrin a beard. But overal that its amazing

Mat looks so devilish. And Rand... so.... smug. Though at first I didn't realize it was Rand... lol. Perrin.... poor guy looks like he got backed into a corner by Faile. Love it. Well into the 4th book right now. I can't wait to finish the series and maybe to some work of my own. Robert Jordan does have an inspiring cast of characters.

The books rock, problem is I can't draw, sweet picture, other than me thinking rand's hair should be redder and perrin's eyes should be glowing, and maybe give Mat his spear and hat and scarf, but the actually drawing is impressive.

Ekkk I don't think that the artist had read far enough yet to make Mat have his scarf or spear! I think those happen in the later books

My friend is forcing me to read this series(well she forced me into it, but I'm having fun with it even if im only on the first book) and I love how you've captured each characters personality. Love it! I agree, no one really does any fan work on WOT. Why is that? Itβs an amazing series that really gets you running with the characters. Especially love your image of Perrin. Though your Rand is a little different from what I pictured, it actually works quite well. Nice take

I admit I'm not a big fan of the series (the first book was the only good one IMO), but I really like your interpretation of the characters! Matt was my favorite, and maybe someday I'll be able to get myself through the series to read more about what happened to him (I stopped at Path of Daggers).

I could never get perrin down, but I think this is just what I thought he'd look like. I Like your choice of natural colors tones for your color pallet.
There some things out of proportion and rand's turned hand looks odd to me but that's just for those who like some critique.
really though, I like your versions of the characters. Rand face is long here, which tends to be the case for tall people. I like how you thought about that with rand's appearance. Mat's is pretty awesome with his expression and pose too.

Oh dear. I've been watching you for awhile now and I had NO idea you did WoT art. Dang! I agree that there isn't enough fan art. I should probably help join the WoT art revolution.
Someone needs to redo all of the covers for the U.S TOR publications. Their proportions can be atrocious.
