for Amiena's contest on TinierMe.URGH.
THIS. TAKE. FOREVER.
MUCH LONGER THAN I EXPECTED.
did the drawing yesterday and I slept at 03.30 a.m. and the coloring has just finished now.
/dies of overkill of details and colors
Fortra is so stupid in drawing circles. and the blue-to-purple gradient on the background inside the frame is supposed to be a night sky with many stars.....but I failed epicly.
aside from that, I love how this piece turned out. I can learn and practice more about color compositions, and I found a new way in coloring the shadows with different color. I also enjoyed drawing Reios and Leia, they are so addicting to draw. the fact that both of them are stars is just lovely, and the story as well. Amiena is kind enough for giving me freedom to add some accessories on her OCs.
coloring with gradient colors is also my favorite part too, although it takes a longer time.
anyway, I hope this piece is good enough for the contest, as I see that all the entries are beautiful. and of course, I hope Amiena and the other judges like this too.

you should ask them to pay first next time, but in the other hand, if you did, you can't make them wait too long
but me myself is busy, so when I'm opening my art shop, I ask my clients to wait until I'm done with their commission, then ask them to pay first. if they don't pay, then I won't send the picture to them.

may artists here open their commissions and use paypal as payments so that people from other countries can commission them too

ah I see QvQ I ever felt the same way too. that's why I actually a bit scared of opening normal style commission, I usually open the chibi one
but I think you shouldn't worry too much,
you already give samples of your art, and if they commissioned you, that means they like your style. if you keep thinking pessimistically, how can your art shop go on? put some confidence! I saw the entire gallery and you did very well, and even better because you did all of them traditionally QvQ

maybe I can help. and if you want, you can join many groups to submit your art so many people notice you. and try to be active submitting works as well, join RP groups.

I didn't join AB at first because I'm afraid to be there. many pro artists gathering there and I feel so small, that's why I didn't join at first.
I finally joined because I want to comment on a contest thread. but never make a thread of my art shop again anyway, it's hard to find free time for it orz

ASDFGH my art is not 100% traditional, it's mix media. I color my pics with Adobe Photoshop QvQ I suck in coloring traditionally /fails

one is in chibi style, one is in normal style. both are the same person
he's 12 year old, and sometimes he can be so grumpy. he's egoistic little boy xDDDD

but the main one is Malay since they use malay as the country language
