Detail closeup #1: [link]
The Dreaming Tree is an idea I've had for awhile now. Along the lines of a visual story, which is to be read from the bottom to the top. I hope each viewer can see their own unique tale as they look at this....and better yet, I hope there is a different story to be told, depending on mood. This was a real massive challenge!!
The actual 300dpi verison of this is 9"x56"!!! That's almost 4 1/2 feet tall. LOL Oi...my poor, poor computer.
This is an entry for the "Maiden In Lost Land" contest, found over at

Congratulations on winning the MiLL contest! I offered a prize of a sculpted or felted "character". If you know what you would like, please note me, and I would be more than happy to get started. If you are not yet sure, you are welcome to hold off until you make a decision. The "character" should be yours, or I can do a piece based off of something you have done (if you are like me and don't have characters as such). If you have any questions feel free to contact me. And once again, CONGRATULATIONS! This is a beautiful piece!

Heyla sweetness!!
Thank you soooooooo much for this awesome prize! I am so sorry it's taken me so long to respond. I've been working and away for the better part of the past two weeks, and so I am woefully behind on all my correspondance here.
I am so excited about this! I don't really have a 'character' per say, unless you count the fact that I love foxes. So anything with a fox in it would be so cool!
And thank you for the support of my entry "The Dreaming Tree". I am truly touched by the response this piece has received!!
If you need any more information, I'll be here more frequently in the next few days.

OK, if you like foxes, and would want something like that, would you prefer a sculpted piece (with polymer clays) or something that has been needle felted (like my [link] Felted Parade Horse)? I can go either way.

Oh wow - what a hard decision!! I think the needle felted piece is beautiful! So if that is possible, I would cherish a little fox made like that!
This is such a wonderful, generous prize. Thank you again!

GREAT! I was kinda hoping you would say that as I wanted to be able to make it soft. Certainly I can do that...
Your welcome. I was a little nervous offering it, but I am getting a pretty greatful response to it!
Well, I will get started right away. I will post it when it is "finished" on my page, so you can see it, and then when you are happy with it I will get a postal address to send it to.

I've never seen those kinds of felt sculptures before, so this is a wonderful discovery!! You shouldn't hesitate at all to post those - I'm not surprised you are getting a good response - I bet these will be a huge hit here!
Thank you again! And take your time - no rush.
