**NOTE: I've abandoned using DeviantART because it's been lost to AI generated images. I won't be returning, but I recognize many people link to this influence map template, so in order to keep legacy links intact, I'm leaving this, and the original V1 template up. Hell, you might even discover some things about yourself doing this!
The grid can ultimately be filled out however you want it to be. The recommended sizes of the images are shown below the grid -- make your biggest influence take up 3x3 squares! Lesser ones to follow.
Also, editing the file, changing colors, sizes, fonts, whatever, have at it! Make it yours!

nice way of thinking about that "map".
I think we all have dead moments and need to find a way to break them.
I usually do something completely different, to break the stuck.
This map thing ideea is good, because it makes us filter our thoughts about what we like and is not limited, but at a later look we will have a better view about what we think... huh, it will be a pleasure to do that in december i think when i'll have a little more time.

I'm confused on how to bring an image into the box.. I open this, and then I open a picture of an inspiration? And then what?

After you had the two images open in some sort of editing program (ie Gimp), preferably with transparency, then you would select all the white squares and made them transparent. Then, you would make a new layer, placing it behind the first. After that, you would select a portion of the imspiration image the size of however many squares you want it to take up (one square is about 180x180pix), copy it, and then paste it into the new layer. Repeat until all squares are filled.
I hope this makes sense. If you're confused as to how to do any specific thing, I can elaborate. If you don't have an editing program, you can download GIMP for free online.

how do you upload or place the pictures you want to put into the influence boxes?

try to just cut the pictures and put them onto the boxes... it is the easiest way, but not too clean, i recommend photoshop for this
