Description
Code Geass - Bad Call[Episode- R2 05]
Here is the latest Code Geass 4koma. This one is inspired by the events of the end of the fifth episode. Sorry to say you really don't get the full impact of this unless you see the episode. It's still pretty funny. Sorry, no fan service on this one. I'll post some Spoilers an explanation of the scene for those who would like it below.
The background was the most complicated thing to make on this one. It's roughly the same background from the original scene.
The back lit look can be a little odd if you aren't used to it, but it matches the night time scene
I look forward to reading your thoughts and comments.
SPOILER:
In this scene Suzaku is trying to test to see if Lelouch has finally gotten his memories back, after they were removed and remade at the end of the first season. He does have them back, but is pretending to be the part he was given so his beloved little sister, who was taken, will be safe.
In the episode Suzaku handed Lelouch the phone and it's his sister Nunnally; who he's not suppose to remember, but she knows him. Lelouch will be forced to deny knowing his own sister in order to protect her. It's a lowly disgusting trap Suzaku uses.
What makes it even more nasty is that Nunnally is not only unable to walk, but she's also blind.

Yeah, but there I have space limits. This works fine for me now, because I don't have to write code and it's easier to get feedback on individual pictures.

Ah, I feel very amused at this. A rather decent bit of strategy when I saw the episode but its rather interesting in this episode that *spoiler* seems to actually be in on the whole thing since she knows that *spoiler* is on the other side of the battle lines.
Such a shame that Lelouch will have to deny his own sister now, but I doubt that this will do more than really piss him off now and decide to prepare some really nasty plans for the future to pay back Suzaku.

Pretty much Lelouch knows where Suzaku really stands. This is going to hurt Lelouch and probably break Nunnally's heart. She wont understand. She's probably been worried sick about her brother. I don't think they have ever been apart for that long.
I don't think she is in on the plan. I think that Suzaku just told her he would find her brother so she could speak with him. He lied to her just to use her for this trap.
Seems odd making her governor. If she wanted to go to the school wouldn't she find it odd that no one would remember her or that she is Lelouch's sister?

Heh, actually you're a little off with the guess on who seems to be in on the plan. Rewind to when Suzaku is about to have a certain feather pen stolen by a certain cat while he's having a conversation with *spoiler*. But I agree that it is odd to make a little girl who is blind and a paraplegic a governer-general unless for the purposes of being a puppet, another heartless move. They did a good job making us root for Lelouch when in any other anime we'd be seeing him as the villain of the story.

If they were trying to make Suzaku a sympathetic character they pretty much failed there. Most people want him dead or in a lot of pain.

Something about him always bothered me in the start. Like when Zero saved him. Suzaku's biggest problem was Zero "lied". He rather sided with an army that was going to railroad him.

Why do people insist on comparing this series to Death Note? Only thing in common is that Lelouch wants to remake the world, but his motivation is to make a world that is safe for his sister. Light was a psychopath who didn't care who he killed.
If anything this series has a bit too much in common with Gundam SEED.

mm point there lolz...
but even so, i think it's a bit understandable that the people compare both plots, because there aren't many stories now that have a character that wants to conquer something in a violent way [or may be there're but i can't remember them right now]
i haven't seen Gundam seed... can't say anything about it c

Well, Gundam SEED had two childhood friends fighting, in mechs, on different sides of an ethnic war.
There was even an episode of Code Geass that was almost exactly like a SEED episode.

To Suzaku, the fact that Lelouch is Zero would break her heart even more. This would be a minor pain by comparison. He has a twisted sort of reality.

People keep comparing it to Death Note when it's different. Only thing really in common is Lelouch wants to remake the world, but the world he wants to make is one that is for his little sister. Light was a psychopath who didn't care who he killed.
Lelouch actually feels something. He practically broke down when he knew his actions killed Shirley's father. Did Light ever feel sorry for anyone he killed?

He also cried and wept when he had to kill Euphemia totally went insane when Shirley died and pushed kallen away to protect her wheres light would have used her as a shield to protect himself the only similarity between light and Lelouch is that their both genius but Lelouch kept his humanity while light went down insaneville plus Lelouch is alround more badass then light was and he planned his death to make a better world light went don crying like a fing baby their two completely different characters I'm also happy that suzuku got to live becuase to him that's a punishment he wanted to die now he has to live on as zero the perosn he hated the most to pay for his sins man you should make more of this stuff keep up the good work

KravenErgeist In reply to FoxxFireArt [2008-05-06 15:48:30 +0000 UTC]
But the main plot of Death Note revolved around two genius' trying to get the other to reveal their hand, one evil and one good. I'd say that Lelouch and Suzaku's current situation resembles Death Note more than any other point in the anime, and that's including Lelouch's constantly reoccurring "Just as planned" face. Now more than ever, we'll be hearing Lelouch's inner monologue as he goes over the options in his head as to how to handle the logistics of the situation. And you can't say his manipulation of Rollo, Kallen, Shirley, and even the Black Knights isn't resemblant of Light's ability to manipulate Misa and everyone else he influences.
I like Code Geass more, because it blurs the line between good and evil - both Lelouch and Suzaku have good and evil traits. It makes it more believable. Also, while Lelouch is a genius, Suzaku is instead enormously physically capable, and morally unflappable.

FoxxFireArt In reply to KravenErgeist [2008-05-06 16:04:46 +0000 UTC]
But Suzaku isn't a genius. He's an athlete. Also Light and L were never really friends. It doesn't compare.
Lelouch doesn't just cast people around all the time. Light treated everyone like a pawn. He was horrible to Misa. Only reason he's using Rolo the way he is is because he's pissed off he was trying to be in Nunnally's place.
Lelouch is angry, but he's mad how the student council has been used and their memories changed because of him.
Light only got upset when he didn't get his own way. He was often like a spoiled child.

I'm not saying there aren't significant differences, but if you had to choose the top anime for it's similarities to Death Note, Code Geass would be at the top of my list.
