A much delayed commission for ask-the-toy-box on Tumblr. It had something to do with a bunch of whiny Steven Universe fans complaining about how Cartoon Network is trying to kill Steven Universe with Teen Titans GO! or something like that. Mostly it was just because Toy Box and I don't like Steven Universe and thought it would be funny to trigger the fans.
On that note, I still think I deserve hazard pay for this. Merely looking at that ugly Steven Universe art style is triggering for me. But I did learn that Steven Universe model sheets actually do exist, so there's that.

If I may be observant, CN brought Steven Universe back from a multi month hiatus (never even airing reruns) on Christmas Eve, when almost no one is watching TV. Then they give their little 15 minute cartoon once per week without any replays or reruns, while Teen Titans Go, Amazing World of Gumball, We Bare Bears, and Total Dramarama are given on 1-2 hour long blocks, even if it means airing the same episode multiple times in a single day. They're doing to Steven Universe now the exact same thing they did to Sonic Boom, Transformers RID, Justice League Action, Adventure Time, and really anything other than their pet 4.
Oh yeah, they're doing the exact same thing to OK-KO too, they put that show on hiatus months ago just when it was showing signs of building up multi-episode continuity. The network seems to be actively trying to kill ANY show that doesn't have a self contained episode format.

It's a cycle that every cable network goes through, I've noticed. I don't really have hope for TV as a medium. Execs were out of touch with humanity long before the internet came around and it's obvious they refuse to fix that.
