Description
Yours is the name I call when I wake,And yours is the hold that I long.
Yours is the love that I struggle to gain,
But I feel like this yearning is wrong.
And though I pretend that you’re nothing,
And though I pretend not to care,
My heart is fraught with your footsteps.
A small bit of you is still there.
I hold my heart while it’s bleeding.
I hold my face while it cries.
I pretend you don’t care about me.
I’ll ignore that one of your lies.
And it pains me to see you here smiling.
It hurts me to know I’m too late.
And sometimes I find myself wishing,
That it were me you would hate.
