Extra information that contributes nothing but I wanted to mention:
Is the star of Mouse the Witching Cat. Obviously.
Mouse was born in the waking hours of 12 o’clock and 1 AM on April 30th, so it’s hard to tell if she shares a birthday with Walpurgis Night or May Day.
Mouse’s father is named Ardath, after Boris Karloff’s character from The Mummy (1932). The naming of her aunt Bastet should be obvious to Egyptologists, while her uncle is named after a famous victim of the Salem Witch Trials.
She gets her eye color from her mother. She’s the only witching cat in Haunted Hollow with green eyes.
Mouse looks (and sounds) older for her age but she’s small.
A lot of her mannerisms are based on a black cat that lives near my mom, while her name is shared with one of my grandfather’s cats. The irl ‘Mouse’ was not black though.
Where Mouse got her hat from is a mystery that leads up to an anticlimactic reveal, but I don’t know what’s anticlimactic enough.
