Description

Task 5: "On the grounds of the Starlit Palace there is a cavernous, multi-winged museum dedicated to the Constellation Senshi who came to the call of the Lady in ages past. Your Constellation Senshi finds an exhibit on their ancestor/past life form. What did your senshi look like during the Silver Millennium? What happened to them in the prior war or once they arrived on Earth? We'd love to see them in their uniform!"

Short:
Les convinces Cordy to visit the museum by telling her that she can see Selcis' dart rope on display.  Cordy feels all the feels.  She kicks the podium which reveals Selcis' liquor stash hidden below.  She hunkers on down and toasts her Generation 1 family with said liquor.  Les, having lied about there not being a statue, notes the similarities between a small marble statue of Gen 1 and Cordy.  He's also happy that Cordy  couldn't touch the dart rope, because that means Les serves a purpose as Scorpius' weapon (because our sweet little Mew was worried that he didn't really didn't belong. Peh, silly boy).

CS Task 5: Discovering the PastTask 5: "On the grounds of the Starlit Palace there is a cavernous, multi-winged museum dedicated to the Constellation Senshi who came to the call of the Lady in ages past. Your Constellation Senshi finds an exhibit on their ancestor/past life form. What did your senshi look like during the Silver Millennium? What happened to them in the prior war or once they arrived on Earth? We'd love to see them in their uniform!"
Task 5:
She let him talk her into visiting the museum, the ominous shrine of the past. She snickered aloud at the idea.  She’d heard about the about some of the other’s reactions to seeing their past selves.  A certain fellow scientist definitely suffered from an extreme bout of cannon envy.  Not pretty.
Well, damn it. Cordy instantly hated herself for the tight knot that seized her in throat as she approached the marble podium in her small portion of the museum.  She had intended on being strong when entering here. But the fac

Gen 1 Scorpius Info:
Name: Born as Princess Velia Kepi Akeldama, Renamed Selcis
Age:  Appearance of 14-16, but much, much older  (Sargains with healing blood age extremely slow and do no track their ages)-
Height: 5'5
Planet: Sargas
Specialties: healing (through blood), mnemonist, rusher-type (monk),
Likes: drinking liquors, pastries, spiced drinks, learning, puzzle games, incense, chimes, patterned cloth, routine numbing exercises (running, katas, yoga)

The planet Sargas was a matriarchal society ruled with a godlike authority by the Empress Akeldama in a harsh caste based society.  Taking consorts as she pleased, Empress Akeldama initially bore a single daughter, Velia.  Velia possessed the healing blood, a rarity among even the royal bloodlines.  She was raised and considered to be her mother's pearl. Even as a toddler she was initiated in the expectations of her position. The world, especially the poorer castes, interpreted the Empress bearing a daughter with the healing blood as a religious sign that the Empress was indeed their divine ruler and this heir would care for them.  This was a much needed salve to a large part of the population that was beginning to become inflamed with the injustice of caste system.  Soon, the Empress found a new favorite consort and bore another daughter, although without the blood trait.  The Empress immediately favored the new daughter because she bore of a physical resemblance to her. In addition, Empress sought to punish Velia's father for marrying a lower caste after their trysts. It wasn’t long before Velia was removed from position, higher caste, and all connections to her mother.  She was even stripped of her long meaningful name which is an attribute of the upper caste and given the singular name of Selcis, singular meaningless name like the rest of the lower caste.  Still a young child, Selcis was actually content to live with her father and new wife in the lower caste.  She was loved and nurtured in this home until the new princess was injured.  Selcis dragged back to the royal home only be to be drained of her healing blood in order to save the new princess.   Selcis was imprisoned and drained in hopes of having the blood on reserve for the heir.  However, the healing blood does not work if the recipient and donor are not willing. Selcis was anything but willing to help the mother that had cast her out. The Empress was enraged at Selcis' defiance and used her father's life as a bargaining chip.  The Empress required Selcis to be bodyguard companion of the princess as well as provide any blood for healing in exchange for keeping Selcis' family from execution. Thus, Selcis was trained in the Sargas sacred martial arts (similiar form to Changquan), the use of a rope dark, and healing.

She was not allowed contact with her family and was not allowed to address the Empress or Princess as if they were family.  For years, Selcis accepted this role for the sake of her father and his growing family.  However, the years of isolation and loneliness began to take hold of her as she grew into a young woman. Selcis craved a way to mark her own identity or connect herself to her father, hoping that the reminder would stave off the emptiness that was growing.  Initially, she tried to carve the facial scars of the lower caste onto her cheeks, but the healing blood sealed the wounds too quickly.  Then, Selcis specifically secretly commissioned to have two tattoos similar to the lower caste scars inked on her face.  Although this was personal choice, Selcis was truly unaware of the importance she held in the populace eyes.  It was the spark the populace needed to fuel the flames of their unrest.  They interpreted Selcis' public display of alignment to the lower caste as a slap in the face to the Empress and the upper castes.  The Empress did as well and ordered the public execution of her father's wife and children.  Her father's suicide soon followed, leaving Selcis with no reason to continue in servitude.  The Empress had Selcis imprisoned, fearing her death would insight a full revolution.  However, it was too late.  The lower castes rescued Selcis and enlisted her into their ranks.  The civil war or revolution, depending on the scholar, would continue for years before the final siege on the palace took place.  Selcis delivered the death blow to her mother and younger sister personally.  At heart, Selcis had never been part of the patriotic cause.

With her revenge completed, Selcis found solace in the monasteries as Sargas drowned in it's new directionless freedom. Aside from their numbers tomes and books that she enjoyed, the monks had brewed stronger ales and drink than the locals or palaces had ever. These potent liquors were strong enough to surpass the healing blood and let Selcis drown in her directionless.  In the midst of a drunken wallowing, Selcis was summoned to the Cloaked World.  She left one war to enter directly into another.

Party to another war that her heart was not aligned with, Selcis was initially extremely reckless and suicidal in her tasks.  Her healing blood gave her a sense of immortality.  It wasn't until someone was injured because of her actions and she was reamed by a wiser warrior, Orion,  for her attitude that she realized that in the CW she had the opportunity to start over.  She had the opportunity to love a new family and be cared for like family.  She used her love of puzzles and mnemonic abilities to assist with more strategic and purposeful tasks.  She took more care in her own tasks and duties as assigned. When not on missions, she was in the infirmary assisting.  Although in the middle of a war, she was happy and content to belong and have purpose again. . . . until the war was came to a close.  Her own romance with Cepheus ending abruptly with is disappearance was the first blow that she would lose this happiness.  Selcis became angry as they lost some family to noble sacrifices, battle fatigue, and emotional damage. When the war ended, Selcis was nearly crushed as she watched several senshi willing leave to Earth instead of staying together as a family.  Again, in her less wise drunken state, Selcis tried to follow Orion as he left to Earth with all intentions of trying to bring him home to the CW.  However, tablets and magical artifacts should not be used in an inebriated states.  Thus, Selcis found herself in ancient Egypt with no memory and renamed once more, this time as Serket.

Past relationships:
Lady of the Stars nickyflamingo  Initially, Selcis wants nothing to do with the motherlike figurehead.  She agrees to participate in the war only, because she has no other reason to go home. However, Selcis comes to realize that The Lady was nothing like Akeldama and becomes completely devoted and loyal. She then takes on any task or mission the The Lady offers her in hopes of being granted that motherly approval.

Cepheus nickyflamingo  Selcis first and only friend initially was this white knight.  Many of his words are what sway her opinion about the Lady.  Their trysts provide a safe and happy bubble for the bitter Scorpion.

Orion WingsForDreams  Caine is the wise warrior that corrects Selcis reckless battle behavior.  At first, the two can not stand one another.  Caine upset that she is handling the effort and his friends lives so casually and Selcis just not caring for his dedication to the Lady.  After their 'talk' and a few battles, she begins to trust in him and the other CS warriors.

You know she's had a number of run-ins with Dorado as Dorado gets pissed off at her attitude and causing problems with her tactics. Poor girl, yelled at by Caine AND Dorado, that's a new one.

Her design is gorgeous is far! (But I'd be terrified to draw it).

I loved her sad story, the poor thing. Her mother was a wicked woman indeed and I don't blame her for being the way she when she came o the CW. Lady of the Stars will not give up on her though, and will do everything she can to help her heal as much as she can.
