Yeah this is like a year late, but who cares. I finished Super Mario Odyssey, and let me say that it is honestly one of the best games I've ever played. I grew up on the 3D Mario's, Galaxy was my childhood. Odyssey felt like a love letter to me and any other player who fell in love with Mario's 3D Platformers. There are so many references and easter eggs that it makes me giddy. The controls and overall feel of the game is just so crisp and satisfying, I never get tired of doing the little air dive into your cap to get some extra air time. There are almost no boundaries on the game, it doesn't feel linear at all. Do what you want, when you want. If there is any true successor to Super Mario 64, this is it.
