This one was kind of exhausting to complete.
I had difficulty making time, in my day, for comic work, but the individual pages on this comic issue were so complex, and required so much care, that I would regularly be up past 2AM working on them. It will be strange, going forward, for that to *not* be happening.
The PKD estate will probably get mad at me over this, but as I've said before, the Buster Friendly show is a recurring motif within *Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep*, of a popular talk show which is secretly hosted by androids. The book had similar focuses to what I care about, concerning itself with the collapse of the 60's counterculture, the forced positivity and moralism which Neoloberalism creates, endless political incantations to prevent one's conscience from interfering with their ability to live on a society which sustains itself through ruthless cruelty in the Third World, the socially regressive potential of technological progress, and so on and so forth. The actual designs for Buster Friendly and his cohost, Hilma Dirk, however, are mainly based off of Bunny Breckinridge and a drawing within Grimoire NieR which I couldn't quite identify, respectively.
