This lamb is in a breeding program to preserve rare breeds (he's a Leicester Longwool), so he's in no danger of being eaten.

Reminds me of a lamb we had growing up. I was really little, and and didn't understand that we put a rubber band on the tail to get it to fall off; I found the tail later and started crying thinking that my baby lamb was falling apart.

Though seriously, it was unnerving at the time, but when I took the tail to my parents they explaned that it was normal. And as a result I've turned out normal ..(?) 
Now it's just something that I look back at and laugh whenever I see sheep ... And then I look to see if it has a tail.
