Wanted to make a very special drawing of my BNHA Canon x OC ship to say that yes, they're official! You can read more about their relationship timeline from how Todoroki and Kiyomi went from being classmates not caring much about each other, to ending up as a sweet yet awkward romantic pairing on my Tumblr blog "rainbow-filmnerd". But it's a detailed close-up drawing and a slight redraw of one of my favorite scenes from "Snow White with the Red Hair" (Shirayuki and Zen's relationship is about half of the inspiration for Kiyomi and Todoroki). Oh, and the title is also inspired by said anime, as both the characters' love for each other "lit a fire in their hearts", so it would be fitting that the outcome would be the same for Kiyomi and Todoroki.

I can't say much about when they'll be official, but it will happen during the Endeavor Agency arc. This drawing is kind of a sneak preview of that, which I started after Episode 106 aired in Japan (it may be another few weeks until I get to watch it because I'm waiting for Toonami to air it dubbed, I don't have a Funimation suscription, and I don't wanna watch it on one of the cartoon streaming sites), so when I get to watch the episode, it may or may not be 100% accurate once I finish the last part of the timeline Tumblr posts. But from what I gathered from 106's screenshots, Todoroki was in his hero costume (most of it) by the end of the main battle, so that's when he and Kiyomi...

AGH, I think this is my favorite Kiyoto drawing by far! I don't often do these detailed close-up drawings and I want to do more in the future. Again experimenting with side profiles and it's more fun when I get to add more details. I had SO MUCH FUN drawing Kiyomi and her hair just looks so delicate. And as much as I love drawing Todoroki, I sometimes mentally tell myself "don't like it look like Zuko", but underneath the surface of their similarities, there are still a load of differences. But I'm happy to celebrate the love of my BNHA OC x Canon ship.
