Description I know that this is WAY late, but I decided to do little overviews of my past two years at Boston Comic Con/FanExpo Boston! I might do an overview for this year (2018), but we will wait and see! This is from my first year at my first comic convention, when I cosplayed as Hamato Miwa, aka Karai, from the 2012 TV series of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles".

To start off, let's take about my costume. It was a VERY last minute look, but it was because me and my Dad found out about this event at the last minute. Looking back at it, I could've done a LOT better, including the design of her tanto blade. I felt like I did alright with the hair, since I didn't want to dye my hair. I felt like the make-up was on point and I think I did alright with choosing to wear leggings and a long-sleeve black t-shirt for her suit. I could've done better with her armor, and I really tried to achieve that with the armor on her legs. Overall, I give this one a 5/10.

So in terms of the experience, I had a LOT of fun at BCC that year. There was so much to see too! I didn't meet any famous celebrities that year, because none of them really caught my eye in terms of meeting them. I only recognize William Shatner, but I wasn't too familiar with what he does to meet him and that also would cost nearly $1000 U.S. dollars. There was also Danielle Panabaker, but I've only seen her in the 2005 Disney movie, "Sky High". There was tons of cosplayers there and I took LOTS of pictures (see Instagram account for more BCC pictures! ). I also saw a Shredder cosplayer, but I didn't take a picture of and with him. That would've been SO perfect!  My Dad and I saw a panel event for this improve group known as B.U.M.P. (Boston's Unscripted Musical Program), and they were quite good too. Being in my high school's improve troupe for about 2 1/2 years, it was some quality improve entertainment.

And for souvenirs, I got some neat-o stuff. I got a "Lex Luthor for President" pin after having a picture taken with some DC Comics cosplayers (Wonder Woman, Batman and Lex Luthor). I also got a mini art piece of my favorite Teen Titan, Beast Boy  . I almost bought an art piece from Thuddleston , who had a HUGE wall of artwork, but I did get a little card with his dA username, so at least I checked out more of his artwork of comic book character portraits. I also got a mini keychain figurine of my favorite Ninja Turtle, Leonardo, in the style of the 2012 series. The Captain is currently hanging on my bulletin board, looking badass as usual.  And I think that's all. I honestly don't really remember.

Overall, I thought my first comic convention was indeed a memorable one. But the next year, in 2017, gets a LOT better!
