Description Ya Ding Daocheng - Sichuan -China

Crystal clear lakes, beautiful mountains and grasslands, swaying trees and fabulous hot springs — Yading is known for being one of the best-preserved and most primitive natural scenic spots in China. With its pure and amazing plateau scenery, it is called "the last pure land on earth", "the last Shangri-La", and "the holy land in the sun".

This is a 3 image stich of "Milk Lake" - about 4500meter high hike
Milk Lake situated at the saddle between Jampelyang and the south face of Chenresig

Chenresig Mountain has several landmarks that most hikers are interested in seeing. These include the entrance to the trail, the Chonggu Lodge, the Five Colored Lake and the Milk Lake, the Luorong Grasslands and the campgrounds of the trail. Hikers love the Luorong Grasslands for its ponds and winding streams. Once they pass the Grasslands they come to the Milk Lake. Those who have made the hike have said that it takes three hours to get from the Grasslands to the Lake on foot. The Milk Lake is said to be a color resembling milky turquoise. Tourists marvel that the Milk Lake was created thanks to runoff from a glacier. Hikers will come to a split in the trail where they will find that they can easily explore the Five Colored Lakes before reaching Milk Lake. A sight to behold, one side of Milk Lake is bordered by mountain sized cliffs.
