The mark of a True Artist is one who is willing to destroy themselves in order to gain inspiration.

"Cutters" are wanna be artists. They have no reason for their actions except painleasure or to be considered "in".

"I'll remove this unsightly "beauty mark" from myself. I shall be one step close to perfection" -- a True Artist (TA).

Tattoo "artists" hurt and destroy themselves and others around them for money. This isn't art. Making a profit for selling your talent of dexterity is prostitution.
