Description
A chain hanging from his pocket,a ring through his nose.
A little picture in her locket,
pink polish on her toes.
He parties all day,
and stays out all night.
She knows what to say,
and knows not to fight.
He plays the bass,
and his band knows how to rock.
She has a pretty face,
and her boyfriend is a jock.
It is college time for the two,
and it is time to change their ways.
His hair is no longer blue,
and she just sleeps for days.
Life is no longer a game for him,
he knows what has to be done.
But her life is looking very dim,
because she thinks college is all fun.
In just a couple of years,
he is calmly sipping tea.
While she deals with her greatest fears,
and becomes a mother of three.

I really like this poem; normally rhyming poetry is not something I care for, as I used to write in rhymes, and well, I'm not wild about my own work. You did a really good job with this, and it is a nice observation on the way that people are, or rather, the way things tend to go.
