Description
Auroro used to be a cross country horse before we bought him. So we decided the 1st year anniversary cross country competition of The Stable Down the Road would be a great opportunity to test Auroro's skills and courage.
Before the day of the competition, we couldn't practice in a cross country course because we don't have that structure at Starry Night Stables. Dawn's rider was very nervous, but the stallion wasn't worried about the situation.
The big day has come. Starry Night Stables' riders, grooms and horses arrived one day earlier at TSDTR to get used to the place. When the time of the warm-up has come, Auroro bucked of excitement a lot, it has been a while since the last time he went to a show, but it scared a bit the rider. When the sixth team was called to get ready to start the course, our rider was very nervous, the taffy horse whinnied gently trying to calm down the girl and she smiled at him. They went to the starting line and waited for the signal to start.
They started the course, galloping as fast as the stallion could before the first fence. However, after the first jump, the rider decided to slow down a bit, choosing to clear the course instead of running.
A blond girl from TSDTR brought two of their orientals Ballators to watch the competition. While Jiang was paying attention to each horse that was jumping the course, Liefeng wasn't behaving well at the first minutes they stoped to watch, he was rearing and kicking. But after a few minutes he calmed down.
Auroro and his rider did well at the course, they cleared it! But their time wasn't very good, it didn't bother the girl neither the stallion, both were satisfied with the results and loved the challenge of the competition.

I'm so PROUD of this piece! I've never drawn/painted a beach before and I also challenged myself with angles that I'm not used to do. It's not perfect, but I'm very happy with the outcome, I've put a lot of time and effort on this!
