Joy's Note: So, in honor of Eddsworld's 20th anniversary, Newgrounds is holding a charity contest where fans can submit Eddsworld-related art to the site. Since Edd Gould unfortunately died from cancer in 2012, half of the contest's charity funds will go to cancer research to see if a cure can be found for the disease. When I heard the news, I got pretty intrigued, and I decided to partake in the contest myself. Not for the money or prizes, but as an excuse to draw some cool Eddsworld fanart.

For my entry, I took some inspiration from the Friday Night Funkin' Online VS. mod, specifically the Challenge-Edd week. Since there's a mod featuring Edd's female counterpart Ell, I decided to add her in, too, because why not? Edd has always been one of the most well-loved characters in Newgrounds history, mainly because of how funny, brave, and optimistic he is. I'm pretty sure a lot of Eddsworld fans can agree. Ell is a pretty interesting character, too. Although she's only made three appearances in the series so far, it's pretty clear she might appear in more episodes some time in the future. Who knows?

If these two ever met in FNF, I'm more than certain they would challenge each other to a friendly rap battle. Since the Eddsworld crew gave their approval after supporting the game's developers on Kickstarter, it's perfectly possible that we'll get to see Edd and his friends in the official FNF game once it releases. But we're just gonna have to wait and see.

I'll be submitting my entry to NG next month, but please do not expect me to earn any prizes or cash. I'm entering just for fun, not to get rich quick.
