Rose's family, including herself were all burned alive. She was only 10 years old. Who? Who could have done such a thing?
By another noble/rich family that just simply wanted to get rid of the richest family. At least, not directly, so they hired mercenaries to do it for them.

What the evil rich family didn't take account of, was Rose's resurrection as a ghost/spirit. Before she could seek revenge, her butler (who also turned into a spirit, temporarily) taught her all the things she needs to utilize her ghostly power, plus arm herself with the family's Death Scythe.

Eventually, she slaughtered all those who were against her family. What become of the rivalled rich families, none remained to tell.
Despite fulfilling her revenge, she still roamed around her home, or at least what's left of it.

60 years later, Rose found herself joining Lucia's company to protect Midgaria and ensuring that no other families should suffer the fate she went through.
What did it take to convince a ghostly spirit to join a rag-tag group of Demi-humans? That's another story to tell for another time.

Oh yeah, despite how she looks (being tall), she's actually the size of a child like Momo.
