wow..i could stare at this for months. i love the ocean for all the reasons in your description...the smell, the sounds, but i also love it for the things you have captured. The colours it can reflect, the sheer size and mass of the water..it seems to swell up and engulf you. i love the line of those stumps leading off into the distance. lovely capture indeed.

Woah great shot. the water takes on a out of this world look. great exposure, not too quick as to freeze it, and not so slow as to blur it overly, giving an overall dreamlike look. nice!

My only critisism is that the horizon seems to be ever-so-slightly unstraight.

Great image. I like your shutterspeed selection. Not too much blur, and just enought to keep your eye moving from wave to wave.
Setting the shot up with the spiels running right down the middle draws you right in. Very Nice.

This is a beautiful picture. It reminds me of when I used to go swimming in the lakes in Michigan. I used to love it when the sky was cloudy but you could see the sun shining through, and the air was cold but the water was warm.
