I think you did an excellent pic here. I never liked Sonic with any girl but Amy in the first place anyway. Besides, Sonic's creator CLEARLY stated that Sonic would not be paired up with anyone but Amy, with the same being said for Amy herself, cause Amy loves only Sonic, no one else in the REAL, TRUE canon universe: the Sonic Team universe (or SEGAverse if you prefer to call it that).

Currently, Amy is actually very calm and not hopelessly obsessed wth Sonic like her game-counterpart. She has affection for him, but respects his desire to be with Sally instead.

That aside, I really like your re-do. You capture Amy's charm very well. And I really like the redone picture where it looks like she's running after Sonic with gusto instead of looking crazy. It's very nicely done ^w^

Apparently they didn't like the fact she was Sonic's girlfriend in the SEGA/Sonic Team lore, so they decided to torture her every chance they got; not to mention ruining her personality and her backstory even by making it sound like she magically aged herself when she actually aged noremally. Don't feel bad, though. The fanbrats are mostly why I completely dispize Sally now

Yeah. I know how you feel. They took a lot of the pros and cons of the characters and really blew them out of proportion. I hate the way they wrote out Amy's crush on Sonic as if it was her defining trait (it's not) and made her act crazy. I liked it better how she was written out to be tougher in Sonic X and sweeter in the games.

Yeah. I don't know what went wrong there, or what Archie was thinking. My guess is...(and I don't mean to offend anyone with this)...but I think it was done on purpose so Archie could have an excuse to make their OTP, Sonally canon.
I've even read somewhere that when Archie was questioned about it, one of the writers actually said, she's mentally too slow for Sonic. -.- Yeah, because you WROTE her that way. Morons...And they wonder why they get so much hate.

Grrr! MENTALLY SLOW!?! You must be kidding me! Since when was Amy Rose EVER mentally slow!? I never saw her like that in the games! Nor in Sonic X for crying out loud, oh and get this after reading about Scourge in a comic a Sonamy fan asked about when they are EVER gonna couple up Amy and Sonic, the reply was Amy being far too young for Sonic! Archie comics should just stick to THEIR comic's, it's not like Sonic NEED'S any teen love affairs, it's suppose to be way past cool not way past vomit! >n<"

I know. I feel that same way. The way the characters are written out honestly leads me to believe Archie don't know jack-squat about the characters they were writing about at all. And the worst part is, they were more intent on focusing on their own characters too. Some of the later issues of that comic had such a severe overflow of the Archie-official characters that they just about completely took over the whole comic. The important Sonic characters--including Sonic--all ended up getting shoved aside and treated like background characters.
Archie just seems to think that Sonic is apparently a drama-induced story with females doing nothing but thinking about their crushes and guys fighting each other over girls. Though I must admit that since Ian showed up, the comics have not been as bad as they were when Ken was head-writer.

Totally agreeing with ya there, I'm not ranting just cause I'm an Amy fan, I care about the other characters, I feel like reading the comic's again since I hear that the comic's have gone good again, only time I ever smiled at the old comics was seeing Knuckles suddenly turn villain for a short bit, no offence, and seeing Scourge whom apparently was pretty bad ass even if he ain't from the team Sonic, heard about the "Worlds collide" comic? That's what I look forward to seeing a bit, also some people apparently complained of Amy showing off more often in the comics saying she was upstaging everyone, yeah riiight...Sally fans geez....mind if I watch ya?

This is true. It's a lot less about Sally and Sonally and the Archie Characters and more about Sonic and the Sonic Team-official characters. To be honest, though, I wouldn't exactly bother spending my money on them. That and sadly there are some things that Mr. Flynn has done that would warrant some dislike from me. But he's truly not as terrible as many are making him out to be, that's for sure. He's just had some minor hiccups. It really isn't his fault that the comics spent so many years with the bad writing they previously did. Just sayin'.
And regarding Amy, yes. I have heard a great deal about how she's stolen Sally's thunder. We all know that's balls. They're just mad because Sally isn't doing her usual grand-standing anymore and taking priority over all the other characters. Truth be told, I think that's one of the many reasons why a lot of those who know her harbor such a strong dislike of her. If you look closely at quite a few of those issues, you can see that they mainly focus on Sally. Which is patently ridiculous because isn't the comic called "Sonic the Hedgehog"? Yeah, I don't see their logic either.
Worlds Collide? You must mean that Mega Man/Sonic crossover thing. Yeah. Heard about it too, but I'm indecisive about checking it out.

Those guys just LOVE to humiliate Amy -_-" If you've seen the comic where Scourge is in prison you can see a bulked up Amy there with a skull tattoo, it would only be a matter of time before those dorks change "Sonic the hedgehog way past cool" to "Princess Sally Acorn the perfect princess" I have nothing against Sal but she totally sucks in the comics, I'd love to check it out, I'll read your fic if I find the time, I'm glad though that the comic's will be fixed.

Yeah, I know. I just can't help but feel like the soul reason that Amy was so badly botched in the comics was done deliberately because the writers saw Amy as a threat to their precious OTP. Oh, yeah. I saw that image somewhere on here. Pretty stupid if you ask me.
I heard Sally was supposed to get a new design in the comics, but it will all be for nothing if she remains the same. And by that I mean, hogging the spotlight and taking priority over the other characters, including Sonic. The sad thing is, I have high bets that when Sally is de-robotized, the comics will very likely go right back to the way they were before. And the reason for that is because Sally is the only thing the fanbrats want. If they don't get the "oh-so-perfect-and-beautiful-princess" they want, they'll just whine some more.

I can't say I blame you there. The serious overkill on the shipping actually makes me feel sick in a way. Especially regarding Sally and Sonic. Seriously, why in the world would Archie think that as "true love". From the look of it, Sonic is so obsessed with Sally that he lets it get in the way of his other friends and acts like he can't live his life without her. I'm sorry, but crying over a girl is not in Sonic's nature. And regarding Sally... She's just SO abusive. She's always cheating on him and trying to restrain him, she gets upset every time he simply talks to another girl. Oh yeah, and that nice little scene where Sonic came back home after risking his life to save the Xorda and Sally goes apesh!t on the guy, telling him he's selfish just for declining her proposal.
Yeah, I noticed that too. It does look slightly similar to Amy, but I'm not 100% sure it was done on purpose. Then again, knowing Archie, I guess you never know. One thing I'm certain about is I am DAMN happy that Sally won't be walking around showing off everything she's got anymore. I CAN'T be the only one who was so offended by that.
