Description
Part of my project of early medieval plant alphabets. This shows all the letters of the Arabic Abjad ('alphabet') with plants that start with that letter. Similar to how we now teach 'a is for apple, b is for book.'This is my first time writing with ink on birch bark, so there are quite a few smears. I'm also not redoing cards with errors until I've finished the other alphabets (Khmer, Japanese, Maya, Gaelic, and Sanskrit) and know how much birch bark I have left over. (And I hope to varnish them, so the bark stops flaking off the back and sticking to the other cards.) But I still really like how they look, and have gotten a lot better at reading (medieval) Arabic while working on them.

Let me know about spelling errors, and if you think I should add vowel diacritics! (I'm conflicted.)
