EDITDECISION I'm enjoying reading these funny comments XD;; I decided I can't draw nipples. It's too much pressure on me. I'm embarrass as hell! But I tallied the votes, and nipples does win...but its too much for me to handle for this piece. So maybe next time I'll do that for something else (like a BL pic or something). And why are people fav-ing this pic and even a print request? It's not even a complete artwork........XDEDITAGAIN Okay I already made quite a few changes esp on A..which I'm not showing haha..
But thanks to everyone's critique!! It helped a lot. I'm still contemplating the nipple idea haha.
OLD Should I add nipple? I never really drew them...not even in my figure drawing classes. *so shy*
Oh man abs are hard.........no wonder i don't do it often T_T;; This summer I'm just going to practice drawing lots of nude haha.

I think it looks fantastic. One thing though: on B and C, the cast shadow created by the pectorals onto the abs is a tad too large for where you're telling us the light is coming from. Shrink that a little. You should take a life drawing class if you haven't already. You'd learn a lot. I think you've got your ab concept down pretty solidly. About nipples...don't ever be shy to draw something, seriously. They're nipples. Everyone's got them. It's kinda weird not to see them, 'cause you know they're supposed to be there. Besides, art is supposed to be all about expression, and it's the one place you're supposed to be able to cast aside your shyness and insecurity. One question: was this done in painter?

Hmm...well I can't really find anything wrong with it. Cast shadows are placed correctly, muscle placement and structure looks accurate, I like the midline, very nice

I'm on my 4th life/figure drawing class XD But the stuff are too large and messy to use as reference XD;;

Um, i don't think a nipple is necessaqry. and the abs look fine, i like how they go from least muscular to most muscular, which would be good in drawing different characters, because not all guy characters are really buff

Looks great to me! I would add a little bit of nipple though. You don't have to go overboard on drawing it, but just enough to show it's there. ....does that make any sense?

It all looks sexilicious to me! Though, yes, I would suggest adding nipples, even if they are just darker colored small circles on their chests. It is required to make them look great, they already do, but adding nipples will make them even more impressive. ^^

Personally I don't like nipples on male characters...I dunno why maybe because they remind me of moobs XD;; Maybe try drawing some nipples on some and put it next to a version without nipples then ask which is better? That way direct comparision

hm.. I don't think A's chest would be as defined .. I saw you said he was maybe 13 to 15, so unless that kid is working out like mad and/or taking steroids, i don't think his chest would be that toned... but yeah . looks awesome overall

the lighting looks great to me. I'd suggest adding nipples just because it'd be different for you, it never hurts to experiment.

I personaly like when there is nipples. I suggest drawing them on a seperate layer and than you can see what you like. The shading looks good.

one thing though figure A the chest area is a little too round. Maybe try adjusting/thinning the shadows on the under part of the chest.
Otherwise it looks great, you really captured all 3 types of muscle tones ^_^

I saw half-naked man so I just had to click. My roommates make fun of me with, "You just love the half-naked man, don't you?" XDD
As for critique...I'd say A is the only one I'm iffy about. The abs themselves are the least believable on that one because of the way that shadow is pointing up. Although I usually wing my half naked boys so I can't say I know the best technique. C's definitely my favorite, though!

hmm what would you suggest tho...i don't want to go too muscular on A because he's supposed to be younger... *I changed the shadow on his left chest...just do it's more diagonal like the other ^^*

I'd say maybe even...take out his ab definitions/the two shadows pointing up? If he's supposed to be younger you could just imply the definition of his (slight?) abs by working the...middle line I guess you could call it? Kind of like how you did the middle of B's abdomen but not as defined. I hope that makes sense...

the 3rd ab seems to be better
if you want , add a ine between the packs to show it more .. but thats just my preference they look nice actually

It looks good to me. I like how you didn't actually draw lines, per se, to define the muscles. The way you used the shadows works wonderfully, and anatomically, I don't know enough about it, but it looks good to me. Personally, I like teh man abs.

i'm wondering about the one on the left is he as buff as the others? cuz even if the light shines differently, some shadows should catch on each ab...i think
