Annie Wilkes was watching Paul sleep waiting for him to wake up the obsessive fan of misery came closer as Paul woke up moaning in pain she got the red pills as he finally awoke.“ Oow my legs Annie...” Paul cried as Annie got a glass of water.
“ here Paul.” Said Annie holding the water as Paul took the pills. “ I know your legs still hurt but it’s going to heal eventually.”
“ thanks Annie.” Paul said as the pain went away. “ oh that’s much better.”
“ good Paul and you must be a good man!” Smiled Annie. “ I can’t imagine how you wrote the books on the typewriter your skill your imagination your mind!” She looked in the widow the shade of blue as the moon shines on her face.“ oh Paul I wish I was you for a day I would write and think of misery!”
Paul’s eyes looked at Annie as she turned to Paul she sat down next to the bed smiling. “ oh yeah I can’t imagine meeting a fan like you I wish I had the same feeling as you.”
“ oh Paul!” Annie gasped. “ you fooler!”
“ I mean it!” Paul rolled his eyes.
Annie looked in to the night sky she realized it was bedtime she looked at Paul. “ oh Paul I’m sorry I’m keeping you awake good night Paul.” She turned off the light leaving locking the door Paul went to sleep so did Annie.
The next day Annie was about to get up but her legs felt off they feel like someone has broken both of them her arm was in a sling she woke up looking around she was in Paul’s room how did she get there? She looked down it was not her body it was Paul’s she gasped but her voice was different.
“ oh my god I’m in Paul’s body!” She cried. “ but my legs! How I’m I supposed to walk!?”
Meanwhile with Paul Sheldon when he woke up he felt better like if his legs were not hurt he groggy got up and looking for a bathroom as he did he looked in the mirror to see Annie’s face he screamed walking back.
“ what in the-?!” Paul covered his mouth in utter shock it wasn’t his usual voice it was Annie’s. “ fuck?”
He took a closer look into his new body he brushed his long brown hair then he touched his new body. “ okay don’t panic Paul it’s only just a dream......” he said squeezing his breast he looked down. “ oh god how I’m i...?” He looked in the mirror he was fat he realized it wasn’t a dream he lets out a scream of fear.
“ Paul?” Annie asked.
“ Annie?!” Paul asked running to the door he tried to open it but it was locked. “ shit!” He looked around. “ don’t worry I’ll get you out!”
Annie panted as the pain in her legs got worse. “ Paul I need my pills!”
“ I’m on it!” Paul cried trying to find keys he found a key he tried unlocking it it didn’t fit. “ dammit! Don’t worry!”
“ you better oh god the pain is getting worse!” Annie cried.
Paul looked around frantically finding any keys he found Annie’s keys then he found the pills he went in giving Annie the pills. “ here.”
“ thanks Paul oh god what made us swap?!” Annie cried then remembered. “ oh no.....”
“ what?!” Paul gasped before remembering. “ I wished the same too!”
“ how do we reverse it??” Annie asked. “ we can’t stay like this forever you know!”
“ I know I know!” Paul said.
“ but I said to be you for a day.” Said Annie.
“ right let’s wait till midnight.”
A few hours later it was morning Annie woke up she was in her normal body again and Paul’s body was returned.
