Rose had been hard at work studying her assigned scrolls. Since being rescued by Starkey, she had been living at the Xiaolin temple for sometime now.
Time had seemed to have gotten away from Rose as she had continued to read and study her scrolls. She knew that if she was to catch up to where the other monks in their training, she would have to work hard. As she had finished reading another scroll, she suddenly felt tired. Her eye lids starting to drop down over her eyes as she let out a very soft yawn. Bringing her hand to rub her eye, she looked back to the clock on the wall; seeing it was well past her bed time. Pushing the dragon scroll back together and putting it away below the desk, Rose slowly made her way to bed. As she tried to make her way to her room, she let out another long yawn and stretched her arms out. Suddenly, she looked up to see Clay looking down at her with a warm smile “Heading to bed?” She nodded back at him as she rubbed her eyes again. “Come here little darling” He reached down and gently picked up Rose in his arms, laying her head on his shoulder. “You’ve worked hard today, didn’t yah?” Rose nodded her head as she gently closed her eyes as Clay started to carry her to her room. She gave a small smile as she could feel Clay’s warms hand holding her close. It wasn’t long before she felt being laid down on the cushioned floor and being helped into her sleeping gown. Once she was ready for bed, she felt her head being placed on a big soft pillow and a warm blanket over her body. Rose smiled as she fell into a deep sleep, hearing the words "Goodnight" from Starkey close to her.
