Yet another finished commission, this time for . Kind of a simple background for me, but he looks cool as he should be.

It's been said before, but I too love the lighting on this, his anatomy is fantastic, and that is some well painted water.

I lov the pose and shading on him
But to me.. it seems like something's a little off with the lighting, like there should be more intense shadows on his left side of his body, it seems too light as compared to the shading on his face, but his torso would be the farthest thing away from the light for the most part so it should be darker
I like it a lot, it's a really awesome idea/setup/ etc.

Its the simplistic approach to do a backround but it still worked for you Julia. I love the overall soft and crisp feel the painting has and of course the characters body is smiply drool worthy.

I can't say enough how much I love this. As I've said before, I wanted to commission you for years because I just knew you'd draw an awesome Link. And so I did! And you did!
You really did a marvelous job. He's so Link. You did his hair and his jewelry and his scars. You got his clothing style... and the posture, the look on his face. I could die for the accuracy of him as an overall character. The background's simple but it's suiting. Beyond perfect.
I can't do light sources and that kind of thing to save my life, so I am completely awed by the technical aspects of the picture. But all the little things I can read into the composition - whether you meant them or not
Thank you so much for doing such a wonderful work for me. So many artists just give back halfassed stuff when a project seems daunting or overanticipated, but you just... wow. Thank you.

The colors aren't very strong, which is what I really like here. Anatomy is perfect, the limited background is nice. It doesn't draw your attention away from the character but still adds to the over all feel of the image.
