Description

Eclipse was an easily distractable horse. He often got side tracked with little tasks here and there or a noise could pull him from Vanguard and Dandelion’s side. Vanguard was usually pretty good at stopping him from completely running off… Except for this time.
Eclipse had been very interested in an Antelope that had bolted across their path. So much so that he’d bolted right after it, feeling the need to run. He didn’t even notice as he left Vanguard and Dandelion alone. Nor did he notice how far he managed to get away from them. The only thing that stopped his chase was a very pretty mare who he almost ran into. He came to a tumbling stop, blinking up at her from where he now laid on the ground. She stared back in shock, as if not knowing what to take of this stallion before her.
“You need to watch where you’re going.” She snorted with a swish of her tail and ears pressing back briefly.
“Sorry about that… Didn’t notice you there.” Eclipse said as he took in how pretty her silver bay coat was with it’s stunning dun stripes, bold mold spots with little freckles of white dotting over her. The mold spots really brought attention to her brown eyes which he stared into.
“No shit.” She rolled her eyes and one of hooves stomped the ground lightly. “Are you gonna lay there staring all day or are you going to get up?”
“Oh! Get up.” He answered and quickly got to his feet. “Didn’t mean to stare.” Eclipse said a bit bashfully, head down. “I’m Eclipse. What’s you’re name?”
“Firefly.” The mare, Firefly, answered in turn.
“That’s a really suiting name for you.” Eclipse smile and tilted his head a little. “Your coat looks like it has little fire flies all over it.”
“Why do you think my father named me that?” She question with an attitude. It might push most away but for Eclipse it made him all the more enticed. Perhaps he had a type, considering Vanguard also acted quite cold.
“I guess that makes a lot of sense. Do you… maybe wanna hang out a bit? I can find us something to eat or introduce you to my herd?” He asked. “Speaking of which…” He looked around and realized how lost he was. “I’m… not entirely sure where I am…” He muttered.
“So you’re telling me you got lost chasing an antelope? Or did you forget cause your head was in the clouds staring at me?” Firefly questioned.
Eclipse was flushed in the face, ears back sheepishly. “Both?” He answered.
“God you’re hopeless.” Firefly rolled her eyes and looked him over. “Come on. I’ll help you find them before you get lost again.”
