Yep, I'm on the cutting edge of pop culture with my references to 5-year old memes and whatnot. Of course, what would you expect from a guy who does a comic about a early 90's video game franchise. But whatever...

I've actually had this idea for years, but never got around to it until now. It's based on the fact that whenever I ready any descriptions of Nyan Nyan Cat it always said something about it being a cat with a Pop Tart body that flies through space pooping rainbows. That last part always struck me as odd because I just figured it was streak of dispersed light like the unicorns in Robot Unicorn Attack or Rainbow Dash in My Little Pony. And yes, I watch My Little Pony. Get over it. So anyway that's what inspired this sucker.

This is also noteworthy because it's one of the very few things I've done in color. I mainly stick to black and white because I'm so slow that adding color would just be -- to me -- an unnecessary extra step. But this wouldn't have made sense without the color so there you go. Notice that I only colored the bare minimum here anyway, so maybe it's just me being lazy after all.
