BEWARE OF SEMI-LONG RANT.
Augh. I know a lot of people who hate Twilight, especially now that it's gaining popularity. Unfortunately, this is also the reason why more and more people like Twilight. My question is: WHY?!
For one, THE MAIN CHARACTERS ARE ALL FUCKING MARY SUES. Bella is so ridiculously clumsy that, rather than being an endearing character trait, it's a huuuuuge fault. Not only that, but EVERYONE. LOVES. HER. Now why is that? Especially considering the fact that, ummm, she's not supposed to be pretty? Not only that, but she can be such a bitch, too. And in Eclipse, she's downright horny. Pretty sickening, consider the one she wants to get it on with is dead. Damn necrophiliac...
Then there's Edward. He sucks at life, seriously. LOL 102-year-old virgin, anyone? Drama queen. Priss. Tries to be virtuous by refusing to have sex with Bella and PRETTY MUCH ATTEMPTING TO FREAKING RAPE HER AT THE END OF ECLIPSE. WATCHES HER SLEEP. Stalked Bella. And you know what? She didn't even care. She was actually FLATTERED that a potential murderer was following her around and staring at her through her window. Wow. No teenage girl can seriously be that trusting.
And then there's Jacob, who I was too lazy to draw. Two words: Fucking. Rapist.
Okay, so putting characters aside, let's talk about the plot. See the size of the book? Well, take a #2 pencil and admire it's size. Got it to memory? Well, if you chopped out all the bullshit and about 9/10 of Bella's thoughts focused on Edward, that's what the size of Twilight would be. As stated above, in the illustration, 298 pages in New Moon was wasted on the fucking "gaping hole" in Bella's chest. Errr, okay. But Jacob tried to help her! That was made null and void by the fact that she fucking left him to go with the guy who LEFT HER IN THE MIDDLE OF A FOREST AT LIKE MIDNIGHT.
Then there's Eclipse. Oh, Eclipse. Why oh why is Bella important enough to warrant a fucking VAMPIRE ARMY TO GO KILL HER? Seriously. And, oh look! She decides she loves BOTH Edward and Jacob (that whore!)~ Eeeyeah. Okay.
So yeah. I'm really far too lazy to rant more about how there's a lack of real plot and character depth. Yeah...

You know, if you didn't even read the whole thing, how do you know I didn't start grovelling on my knees apologizing half way through? You don't, but if you can't read, I think you probably shouldn't try to be clever This is because while that is not by far the saddest excuse for an attempt at cleverness I have ever seen, It was also not the most ingenious attempt at sarcasm I've seen either. Especially considering that what you said can pretty much be interpreted as "your words confused me, so I'm going to pretend to be a smart ass to compensate for my literacy."
Anyway, fine. I'll summarize: Pretty much, what I said was that just because you have a right to make a fool of yourself with bad grammar, doesn't mean it's a good thing to do. In addition to that I was not merely bitching about your grammar, but the fact that your lack of grammar made it hard to understand the message you were trying to convey, and even though you do technically have a right to type like an idiot, I also have the right to call you stupid when you do. More upon that, this artist has a right to bash Twilight on deviant-art. Pretty much, I used logic to turn your argument against you.
I also said that if you keep typing like this, "you know, even though i didn't read this whole thing, i'm still pissed. please leave a shorter message after the beep." I'm not really bothered because I know what you're saying.

Most of us have read the series, seen the movies or both or at least attempted to do so. We aren't making accusations without a solid base of evidence to back us up.

Shit-eating Meyer just made a story of lust. Not love. I support true love, not "ZOMG THAT GUY IZ LYK HAWT SO I'LL JUMP IN HIS PANTS!!!" My friends in middle school could write a better story.

Edward and Winry (Fullmetal Alchemist)
Naveen and Tiana (The Princess and the Frog)
Hercules and Megara (Hercules)
Sora and Kairi (Kingdom Hearts)
Tinker Bell and Terence (Disney Fairies)
Mai and Zuko (Avatar)
and Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley (Harry Potter)
Also in my opinion, here are some examples of lust/one-sided relationships:
Edward and Bella (
Romeo and Juliette (gee, I wonder where they're from)
Elphaba and Fiyero (as much as I love Wicked...)
Snow White and Prince Charming (c'mon, you don't just wake up to a hot guy and fall for him so easy)
Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovette (Poor Mrs. L... Just when she thought she had the man of her dreams, he tosses her into an oven. 0~0)

As for true love, I have to disagree with:
Mai and Zuko (I am/was a pretty hardcore Zutara AND Kataang fan XD)
Tink and Terence (A movie I never saw, but I was always positive that Tink loved Peter. Forever and always.)
Hercules and Meg (One of the weaker Disney relationships, in my honest opinion. Sorry. XD)
The rest, however, I fervently agree with. Particularly Edward and Winry. I have yet to finish reading the manga OR finish the anime (Brotherhood, not the first one).

Well, I see some sense in Zutara, but according to the creators pop-up on the last episode, "KATAANG WINS!" (hahaha) So what's wrong with Maiko?
According to the Disney Fairies series, Tink was in love with Peter, but he broke her heart when he brought "the Wendy" to Neverland. At first she didn't even return Terence's affections, even though he's been in love with her since she arived at Fairy Haven. It developed over the book series AND in the new Tinker Bell movies. (So I personally find it more canon than Tink/Peter)
And I just love Megara. She is awesome and deserves a man that will treat her right. And in Greasian mythology, Meg and and the kids she has with Herc are killed by Hercules himself, because Hera was angry at Zues and wanted to punnish his son. And though, honey, it may seem impossible, "that's the gospel truth!"
Oh, you are going to LOVE the ending if you are an EdWin fan.

There's nothing wrong with Maiko, I just hate how sudden everything was with them. Yes, I know they've liked each other since childhood, but then they suddenly got together once Zuko was accepted. I remember one episode of the third season, one of the early ones, and I cringed when they suddenly kissed.
If there was more development, then it wouldn't have been bad at all :3

Meg - it's exactly that same true Grecian myth why I wasn't too fond of the pairing, even though I loved the movie itself XD. I think that if they made Meg seem a little less damsel-in-distress-y, it would have been fabulous.
BUT THE ENDING WAS BEAUTIFUL, WHEN HE CHOSE TO DEGRADE HIMSELF TO NORMAL HUMAN STATUS. And "A star is born" is my favorite song from that movie.
I have been spoiled to the ending already. XD It makes me very, very happy.

Yeah, the lack in developement is a bit of a bitch, but I'm a sucker for childhood-developed romances too. But Mai makes Zuko happy and Zuko (is the ONLY thing that) makes Mai happy, so it makes me happy.
Oh, then honey, watch TinkerBell and the Lost Treasure, read the Disney Fairies books. Proof of Tink/Terence resides in:
"Fairy Dust & the Quest for the Egg" (where you learn of Terence's feelings and Tink's broken heart)
"Fairy Heaven and the Quest for the Wand" (Terence wishes for Tink to fall in love with him, and she does, but Terence feels guilty so he lets the wish spell brake)
"Fairies and the Quest for Neverland" (Tink and Terence flirt throughout the whole book (in a fairy way) and Tink lets Terence closer to her than anyone else. Tink also uses Terence to make Peter jealous)
"The Trouble With Tink" (Tink loses her Tinkers hammer and Terence comforts Tink and helps her find her spare hammer in her budiour at Peter's hideout (and Tink only told the leader of the fairies about Peter, so to have her open up to another fairy was a big step))
"Tink North of Neverland" (the whole plot is about Tink trying to patch up her friendship with Terence after she blew up on him after an accident he caused)
Those are the main Tink/Terence books. It's also hinted in the other books, but I haven't read those in a while.
The fact that Meg was a damsel-in-distress WITH an attitude just comes by me as hilarious! But that's just me. XD And the ending was just that Disney touch that makes all of it's movies beautiful... I LOVE ROMANTIC HAPPY ENDINGS!!!

The definition of "A Mary Sue" is basically a wish-fufillment of the author. For example, (juding by your avatar Im gussing you play FF7) someone writes a fan-fiction and inserts into the story of FF7 a character named Sally who dosent exist in the game and is the target of the romantic attraction of ALL the hot guys in the game, including Cloud, Vincent, ect; focusing so much on the romance that the author forgets to give HER OWN MAIN CHARACTER any development or realism. The author attempts to fill the hole of lust in their heart by inserting "themselves" into the story. Now back to Twilight: Since Bella is the target of alot of attraction even though shes one of the most UNINTERESTING characters ever, alot of people see her as a Mary Sue. Understand?

I got halfway through the first book and decided it wasn't for me. The main characters had no personality, they were both asses and mary sues. The storyline is typical "boy meets girl and insanity begins." To me it seemed as though the author was trying too hard to make the characters interesting and put her own twist on these centuries old creatures that it ended up coming out the wrong way.
If the "world" of twilight ha more background and a larger story instead of just focusing on Cullen and Bella perhaps they would not have been classified as sues.
"So long as the character does not exceed the limits of the realm in which it is placed, it is not considered a sue."
That is a golden rule in which I live by when I write. And it makes sense. Putting an uber character into a weak background just doesn't work, it's boring and becomes as easy as "shooting fish in a barrel." Its okay to have strong and complicated characters, but make sure the background is there to back it all up.
Yeah the other characters such as Jasper were alright, but not enough to make me want to read the rest of the book or it's sequels. It just wasn't my taste.
Nice comic by the way. It's very rare I come across a fan of this series who is willing to recognize it's flaws and doesn't freak when someone says they do not like the series.
