This is the kind of photos that keeps you on the podium of my fav dA-photographers...
Your works, like this one, are original, something different from the usual photos, and even technically are well done...
And creativeness is one of the things I most appreciate in a photographer, keep up the good job, Gilad!

Simply amazing, and what a great eye you have to see it and capture it. I love how the shadow falls in the same direction the crossing lines are lying.

another great work

just wondering something though....where were you to take that pic, it's vertical, and i dont see a shadow of a possible place you could be....
this is a perfect "god" view if you see what i mean... and i also like a lot the fact that the shadow have more presence than the real person

gilad In reply to kil1k [2004-05-07 17:17:07 +0000 UTC]

i like the fact that you bring something original and expressive to the photography, not many people are like that and that doesnt mean you need to do your best, that mean you have be yourself keep it up ...

Machu-Picchu In reply to kil1k [2004-05-06 09:13:18 +0000 UTC]

It reminds me of this beautiful painting, but I don't remember the artist, which isn't much help, I do however remember that it was painted in egg tempera and that it was beautiful (most pointless comment ever I'm sure)

Wonderful Capture! Unusual persepctive which is nice. And for my bet I think you strapped a camera on to a homing pigeon...I'm right, aren't I? What do I win? I love how the shadow picks up every singel detail of the mechanics of the bike.

ScreamingPoet In reply to ??? [2004-05-06 06:56:41 +0000 UTC]

Wow ... this is eye-popping!

Where you on a bridge to take this shot? I wonder, because with the long shadow of the biker, one would think there would be a shadow also from whatever object you are standing on seemingly should be casting a shadow as well, unless it is a tall object and you are standing between support points (must be that!).

You have such a great eye! Was this cropped, or did you frame it so originally? Either way, nice framing.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

gilad In reply to ScreamingPoet [2004-05-06 08:15:32 +0000 UTC]

This was shot from the roof of a building near by. The roof is very high and it's ahead from the biker, so it doesn't cast a shadow on him.
I used my maximum tele, and cropped it by 20% more, but it was comopsed exactly like that

Thank you!
